  1. Recently, a teacher of mine has gotten A.L.S. I live In Arizona, and I would really appreciate it if you could donate any sum of money, no matter how big or small to the A.L.S. Foundation. Here's The Url http://www.alsaz.org Sponsor Me In The Walk to D'Feet ALS! Thank you for your interest in helping me reach my Walk to DÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢Feet ALSÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî fundraising goal! This is an exciting opportunity for us to work together to support those effected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. This year, I will be proudly walking with over 65,000 patients, men, women, and children in order to raise funds in support of nationally driven cutting-edge ALS research and community-based patient services programs. This year marks the eighth year that The ALS Association has been working to fight ALS through their Walk to DÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢Feet ALSÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî program. Since this program began, over $50 million has been raised. Why We Need Your Help Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries. If you choose to walk with me, you will be a part of an exciting, empowering event for patients, family members, friends, companies and organizations across the country; all of whom are walking to support comprehensive patient service programs and leading-edge ALS research. Whether or not you can walk with me, you can play an essential role by sponsoring me. Both walkers and donors directly impact the lives of those affected by ALS by providing the means to raise awareness and to offer the services needed to treat and defeat this disease. Last year, the Arizona Chapter Walks raised over $315,000 proving to be our most successful Walk season to date! This year, we hope to surpass this amount by raising over $350,000 for continued programs and services on a local and national level. Not only do proceeds from the Walk go to services that improve the day-to-day lives of ALS patients and their loved ones, but the money we fundraise is directed toward programs that look to the future. Promising research indicates that we are getting closer to finding treatment options and scientists are hopeful that a cure will one day be discovered. Please consider walking with me or sponsoring me. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by ALS. I encourage you get your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers involved! Here are some facts about A.L.S. (I did Not write this, this is from the site.:P) ~Just what is ALS? Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a motor neuron disease, first described in 1869 by the noted French neurologist Jean-Martin Charcot. Although the cause of ALS is not completely understood, the last decade has brought a wealth of new scientific understanding about the disease that provides hope for the future. Lou Gehrig first brought national and international attention to the disease in 1939 when he abruptly retired from baseball after being diagnosed with ALS. Most commonly, the disease strikes people between the ages of 40 and 70, and as many as 30,000 Americans have the disease at any given time. ALS has cut short the lives of other such notable and courageous individuals as Hall of Fame pitcher Jim "Catfish" Hunter, Senator Jacob Javits, actors Michael Zaslow and David Niven, creator of Sesame Street Jon Stone, boxing champion Ezzard Charles, NBA Hall of Fame basketball player George Yardley, pro football player Glenn Montgomery, golfer Jeff Julian, golf caddie Bruce Edwards, musician Lead Belly (Huddie Ledbetter), photographer Eddie Adams, entertainer Dennis Day, jazz musician Charles Mingus, composer Dimitri Shostakovich, former vice president of the United States Henry A. Wallace and U.S. Army General Maxwell Taylor. ALS is a neurodegenerative disease that usually attacks both upper and lower motor neurons and causes degeneration throughout the brain and spinal cord. A common first symptom is a painless weakness in a hand, foot, arm or leg, which occurs in more than half of all cases. Other early symptoms include speech swallowing or walking difficulty. The biological mechanisms that cause ALS are only partially understood. The only known cause of ALS is a mutation of a specific gene: the SOD1 gene. This mutation is believed to make a defective protein that is toxic to motor nerve cells. The SOD1 mutation, however, accounts for only 1 or 2 percent of ALS cases, or 20 percent of the familial (inherited) cases. Familial ALS represents between five to 10 percent of all cases. The rest arise spontaneously and mysteriously, making seemingly random attacks on previously healthy adults. ALS can strike anyone, anytime. Physicians have limited choices for treating ALS, and the options that do exist have come into use within the last 10 years. Studies suggest that patients' length of survival and quality of life are enhanced by night-time breathing assistance early in the course of the disease and by aggressive application of alternate feeding options to assure good nutrition once swallowing becomes difficult. At this time, RiluzoleÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî is the only drug that has been approved by the FDA for treatment of ALS. In clinical trials, RiluzoleÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî has shown a slight benefit in modestly increasing survival time. Stem cell and gene therapy are promising areas of research. In a variety of studies, ALS mouse models are being used to develop treatments that may someday lead to similar human clinical trials. Gene therapy is one field of research where The ALS Association is concentrating support for more study. More significant advances of research into ALS has occurred in the last decade than all of the time since Charcot identified the disease. Advances in technology and the genetic revolution are aiding researchers in unlocking the ALS mystery. As more scientists focus on this perplexing disease, the outlook for new understanding brightens each day. ~ALS is a disorder that affects the function of nerves and muscles. Based on U.S. population studies, a little over 5,600 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALS each year. (That's 15 new cases a day.) It is estimated that as many as 30,000 Americans have the disease at any given time. According to the ALS CARE Database, 60% of the people with ALS in the Database are men and 93% of patients in the Database are Caucasian. Most people who develop ALS are between the ages of 40 and 70, with an average age of 55 at the time of diagnosis. However, cases of the disease do occur in persons in their twenties and thirties. Generally though, ALS occurs in greater percentages as men and women grow older. ALS is 20% more common in men than in women. However with increasing age, the incidence of ALS is more equal between men and women. There are several research studies past and present investigating possible risk factors that may be associate with ALS. More work is needed to conclusively determine what genetics and/or environment factors contribute to developing ALS. Half of all people affected with ALS live at least three or more years after diagnosis. Twenty percent live five years or more; up to ten percent will live more than ten years. There is some evidence that people with ALS are living longer, at least partially due to clinical management interventions, riluzole (RilutekÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî) and possibly other compounds and drugs under investigation. ~The onset of ALS is insidious with muscle weakness or stiffness as early symptoms. Progression of weakness, wasting and paralysis of the muscles of the limbs and trunk as well as those that control vital functions such as speech, swallowing and later breathing generally follows. ALS is not contagious. It is estimated that ALS is responsible for nearly two deaths per hundred thousand population annually. More people die every year of ALS than of Huntington's disease or multiple sclerosis and it occurs two-thirds as frequently as multiple sclerosis. Approximately 5,600 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALS each year. The incidence of ALS (two per 100,000 people) is five times higher than Huntington's disease and about equal to multiple sclerosis. It is estimated that as many as 30,000 Americans may have the disease at any given time. Although the life expectancy of an ALS patient averages about two to five years from the time of diagnosis, this disease is variable and many people live with quality for five years and more. More than half of all patients live more than three years after diagnosis. About twenty percent of people with ALS live five years or more and up to ten percent will survive more than ten years and five percent will live 20 years. There are people in whom ALS has stopped progressing and a small number of people in whom the symptoms of ALS reversed. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic or socioeconomic boundaries. ALS can strike anyone. Present treatment of ALS includes one drug, riluzole (RilutekÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâé) and is aimed at symptomatic relief, prevention of complications and maintenance of maximum optimal function and optimal quality of life. Most of this, in the later stages, requires substantial physical caregiving. In 1991 a team of ALS Association-funded researchers linked familial ALS to chromosome 21. In 1993 the research team identified a defective SOD1 gene on chromosome 21 as responsible for many cases of familial ALS. Further study indicated over 60 mutations (structural defects) in the SOD (superoxide dismutase) enzyme which alters the enzyme's ability to protect against free radical damage to motor neurons. These studies open possibilities for future therapies or strategies to effectively mediate both familial and sporadic ALS. But much more research on the SOD enzyme is needed. Also, researchers have not ruled out other gene involvement (on other chromosomes) in ALS. There can be significant costs for medical care, equipment and home health caregiving later in the disease. It is important to be knowledgeable about your health plan coverage and other programs for which your may be eligible, including SSA, Medicare, Medical and Veteran Affairs benefits. RilutekÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî, the first treatment to alter the course of ALS, was approved by the FDA in late 1995. This antiglutamate drug was shown scientifically to prolong the life of persons with ALS by at least a few months. More recent studies suggest RilutekÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî slows the progress of ALS, allowing the patient more time in the higher functioning states when their function is less affected by ALS. RilutekÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî is manufactured by Aventis Pharmaceuticals. There is a patient Assistance Program that helps patients who qualify to receive the drug without charge. Many private health plans cover the cost of RilutekÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî. Contact your local ALS Association Chapter or the National Office for the Patient Assistance Program resource and more information about access to RilutekÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî. Reports from three separate patient databases described long range experience with RilutekÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî. All three reports suggest a trend of increasing survival with RilutekÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî over time. More studies that are double blind and controlled are needed to confirm these database observations. The trend appears to indicate that longer periods of time than those used in the RilutekÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî clinical trials may be needed to see the long-term survival advantage of the drug. An interesting observation was that despite the fact that the Irish government provides RilutekÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî free of charge to people in Ireland with ALS, only two-thirds of the patients registered in the Ireland national ALS database reported taking Rilutek. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for your time.:)

Join Red Dog 47 cc if you want to just chat, or you have some questions, I always sign on it if I'm not in another tif chat, if you want me in the chat just message me and ask me.:D I always try to talk to fellow tifers.:D My last Goal was for 85 strenth and 80 attack, I completed that easily. Now, a new thought has come to my mind. I've been playing Runescape for 6 years, yet I have no 99 Capes to Show for it! That is why I MUST get 99 firemaking. Well, To start it off, I will give you the history of my Runescape playing moments. I was 9 when I started playing, Yes, I was underage. (Im 15 now don't get freaked out) So I came home and was searching for some games to play since it was raining, I came across Runescape and I decided to give it a try, I was instantly hooked. I played hour 3 hours that day and got to lvl 12. The next Day Christmas Crackers were being dropped, I luckily got 7 of them. I pulled them all and got 5 of the party hats, 2 blues 1 purple 1 red and 1 yellow.:P I kept working on my skills and soon I was able to wear rune I decided I was going to sell my partyhats, but a better Idea came into mind, I traded 4 party hats for full rune. I ran around having a bunch of fun with it, until I fought a dragon, it hit a 8 then 9 and I died. I was frusterated with the loss of my items so I quit, I came back 1 year later to find out Rune 2 hands were out. I saved up for one and I bought it, (I still had my red Partyhat) They were worth 1 Mil! So Of course I decided I would pk. and for once it turned out good! I pked 4 rune 2 handers and 8 runescims and like 2 full runes. At this point I thought I was awsome. So I go out with my red partyhat and show off, I died and lost it, so I sold a full rune set and a rune 2 hand and bought another partyhat. I decided I would log off and play some Diablo II. I got hooked on this for awhile, and I didnt come back to runescape until RS2 came out, when I came back it was like a punch in the face for me. Everything was so much better. I missed the bunny ears and [Caution: Jagex Rule Violation]s... So all I had obtained was yo-yos, The rest of the holiday items I had got. from the yo-yo's to the Grim Reapa hood! So I started of course playing again and found out party hats were 5m! I was very amazed, yet I held my ground and didnt sell the red. I trained to about 50 combat and trained for a long time. I wanted to catch up with my friend that was level 61. My friend that was lvl 61, I trusted him dearly. I followed him everywhere then one day he asked... can I wear your partyhat? I said sure. not even thinking he'd scam me. But when I gave it to him, he logged out. Bummed out about this I quit for awhile, I came back in 2006 and met some good friends and found out about Tif! The enviroment had changed so much. People were more ruder and everything, so I went to world 9(Was Tif World at the time) and everybody was very nice. I went to Cwars and found some people following eachother in a circle. I followed Someone and Joined in on the spamming of sayign HYT! HYt! In 2007 is when I made the shocking discovery of everythign pretty much. Then I saved up bought a santa hat, fury and dharoks. But I decided to Try out Pures My new pure was Oops ko. I trained him up fast and got him to level 70 strenth and 60 attack in no time. I got so consumed in the Pures Idea I havent trained red dog in awhile. So, I decided to take a break from Oops ko and started playing on Red dog again. Then once again, I found a good friend He was well known on Tif. I trusted him, I let him wear my fury. and yet again he ran away with it. I decided I would have to earn this back up, but then I said instead of saving up for a 3.8m Amulet why dont I get my first 99 skill? This Is how I came up with the idea of getting 99 Firemaking. I started it off by buying 142k willows for 15ea. I bought it later that day, and I started getting to work. And I decided wouldn't it be cool to finnaly make a Blog of tip.it about this? So Yes, of course I made this blog! Here is a picture of The logs I have, And where I will get 99 Firemaking at.:) I am currently 58 Firemaking Levels Will Go here: Giggity giggity giggity goo! ~Quagmire - family Guy Donations will go here (if I get some.:P) Thanks to these people for incouraging me. Or Helping Me alot. ~Baby Goose0~ He gave me 500k So I would actually have enough willows for my goal. ~Razoid1~ Your one of the best friends I have every had I trust you with anything man. ~Coandca5~Me and him have both been through some rough times, but mostly good times, I had a lot of fun with you bro. ~Elmore8~ I met you when I pked your whip, You were nice and cool about it so I gave it back.:) Your a very good friend and I trust you with anything man. ~If you want your name here you will have to earn it~!:P Some Memorable Events: And this concludes my goal Wish me luck!:)

  12. I believe the regeneration bracelet regenerates health 20% quicker, correct me if im wrong someone. Thanks
  13. Joe and Sword, I use Hypercam 2 Its the latest version of it, just search it up on google, I dled it, let me try to find the link ill post it here.:)
  14. Thanks for the comment.:P What most inspired me to do this was when i was a lower level a fellow runescape classic player gave me full rune and a rune 2 hand, ( full rune and a rune 2 hand together costed about 2m in classic) So, throughout my rs career I've been known to give out items, a person one time said hey you gave me full rune about 1 year ago, when i was level 39 ( He was 94 then) It just made me feel good to know I helped him out back then and to see him all lvled up made me happier.:P
  15. I have always wanted to be Santa on rs and give away presents.:P So I decided I'd merch for a santa after 2 weeks of intense merching i earned a santa, i merched that santa and bought some armor. But then, I thought about all the other people that want to have a lil extra cash. I got out my trusty santa and changed my attire and I was off, spent 400k on rune items, (I overpayed) Then, I walked to the middle of varrok. I yelled "Santa Is in town" dropped some items saved some, then i decided I should video it. Got hypercam ready and then vidded! My 1st goal after 3 years, has been completed, I have finnaly obtained a santa, and acted like Santa. Watch the video, and if you liked it, please subscribe to my youtube account. There will be more videos and more bank vids! :P
  16. In my opinion, nh and h are chosen by your attitudes. I was both honor and no honor. Lately, the pkers and the new enviroment surrounding rs has totaly had an affect on me. I ask for a fight, they look me up and say no you 75 defence, I said you 99 str and 45 defence.:P and they usually reply with a smart allic comment . Thus is why I nh, I bring mystic to fight, when im low hp, yes, I farcast. When they run I freeze them. I just expressed my opinion. But Aqua, good topic to start on, and good points written out.
  17. Well, I sort of ripped the tendan or however its spelled in my ring finger, Ill still play rs, just I won't be top notch super reflex Oops Ko for 4 weeks.:P
  18. Well guys, Im back and in action again, 2 days till members runs out, so ill be a non member for awhile. well thanks for posters<3 and well ill get to pking again!
  19. Well i finnaly got to my senses and decided to quit rs. WHy? Because rs is changing to much, to many people ruin rs with their smart allic comments, rs once was fun, but now its not. R.I.P. Red dog 2001-2007. R.I.P. Oops ko 2007-2007. I have enjoied my 1st few years of rs. but rs is like a ciggarette. once you start you cant stop. Reason: The only reason i played rs was for pking and my friends. i have been scammed by people i thought were my friends. being scammed 7 rares overall is just stupid. (3 santas, 2 masks, pumpkin, and blue phat.) Well, i quit rs today because runescape just isn't what it used to be, getting stats up is pointless now due to require assist. and pking has been ruined by pray noobs rude comments people that tag, im just sick of it. At the end of this the only thing I have earned you might ask? NOTHING I just spent countless hours on the computer when i could of talked and met other people. One day you will realise i spent all this time on the computer for nothing. ~This is my Biggest achievement in rs, tbh i just am done with rude comments so well, ill come on tif every month or so. might play rs again i might not, if i do will be max 30 mins a day. So well enjoy runescape and i hope you all have fun. just think to yourself, what do i get out of playing this game? Well bye guys and have fun
  20. hey man, quitting rs, might talk to you might not. topic will be post in rate this achievements. it is q acheivement of mien
  21. Quit rs for awhile might be back might not be, don't lock topic. i migth coem back.
  22. im 69 combat, trieing to take a break from rs atm, gotta get my weight down if i am to wrestle at x mas, ill sign on max at 1 hour a day if i can.:P
