Yesm, if you need more you can either buy from players or talk to the npc in Lumbridge Castle.

I believe what you do is put on armour, and then curse random npcs. The spell will fail so you can do it repedatively, but you get the same exp as if it would have hit.

It is a mini-game, and you shall not loose your items in this instance. If you are in the building with the portals in it, you will loose your items here however. (From poison ect)

I suggest banking the cowhides and collecting a larger amount to make it faster for you when you craft :)

I have noted that in world 2, it is possible to purchase a Dragon Halberd for around 260k-280k. Try that to save some time :)

You also have to have a level of atleast 30 to be in high scores.

I've heard that fly fishing in Shilo Village is also fast since the bank is close and you can sell to shop.

Go to Karamja by paying the customs officer 30gp. Then, proceed to the volcano and go down the rope. Then, past the lessers; but do not go down there; and then you shall be under Crandor, keep going north until you find another rope surrounded by skeleton. Climb up there and you have reached your destination :D

On the official high scores, the order of levels from top to bottom always confuses me. Is there any order or correlation o.o?

It may be very easy for you to adapt to this, however new players would have a hard time coming into runescape with all these slots and random things. I like simplicity, less things to think about and easy to remember. I think it'd be cool, optional perhaps?
