I believe this is due to the "rare" factor. If things are no longer produced, the ones that were produced before the cut-off become valuble and more wanted since nobody else can now get without paying large sums of money.

I don't suggest ruining a pure just so you can train your pure to be good after it's ruined o_0.

Maybe organize it by types of things. Make a group of Ores, gems, clothing, armour and runes. You get the picture - then it's easier to organize. If there's absolutely no way to make it grouped, just..*thinks* make a group of unorganized stuff. If you don't use anything and don't think it's worth anything - I suggest dropping it. But since I cansee you have bank space, there is really no need.

It is quite rare to find people selling handles. As other suggest, get a cheap one and wait for it to fall off - but I prefer buying a new picaxe and not waiting. :P It's mining by the way :P

Vein rocks are just an equivilent of the other ones. I've had them smoke before, but I've noticed it's a lot more rare than before. Tell us if you experience it.

They do, they just find the people who they sell their money to for real money so they can ban both people for Real Life Item trading. See Jagex rules for more information on this rule.

*sigh With they ever learn that they won't get very many people's passwords? Good thing to hear many players are educated these days to know these scams - no matter how oblivious they are . :P If you run into someone who asks for your password - simply report as rule 3 even if it's not "scamming" asking for a password or bank-pin is against this rule. :D Good luck! I've said this before and I will say it again. - Along with MANY! NEVER USE YOUR RUNESCAPE PASSWORD AS OTHER PASSWORDS ON ANYTHING. Such As, Forums, TeamSpeak/Ventrilo Servers, Instant-Messaging, IRC ect and ect. I think it's an even better idea to not even use your RuneScape name for most. Some forums demand you use your RSN for your username - I suggest maybe not doing this, for security reasons. Sowwie for caps ^_^ I speak for manyyyyyy when I say this :D

You can always try mining 2000 coal and 1000 iron and making into steel bars. Then you can sell the bars for atelast 550-600 each :D
