  1. If its too hard to code, they must have some shit programmers. Regardless of how good you're own programming skills may be, you're not an employee of Jagex or have any knowledge of how Runescape is coded. It should be easy for any half ass programmer though. The only way it would be difficult is if the code behind the scenes is a jumbled mess Submit your application then. It's always harder to practice what you preach. It's also harder to code something than explain the concept as well.
  2. Wow world 67 was ditched for world 9... lmfao.
  3. Lagged out of f41 after boss losing 70k xp... Jumped the ledge for 22.8k xp. I am SOOO pissed right now. Progress report: 5 ab left. 1823k to 110 and 153.4k tokens. Broke my hood for primal legs... Eventually will break legs for blood necklace unless I keep getting twits who think its fun to hold the necklace form me.
  4. Anyone else getting bad bouts of lag lately? like as in the last 5 minutes?
  5. Charming monsters and luring hunter creatures can better be done with their own skills, namely slayer and hunter. Sure you *could* implement it, but it seems rather forced to me. Weekly xp also seems more of a thing you add to an already strong skill, not a major benefit of one. Was thinking of something like a Renown skill, since pretty much everything we do has us gaining fame. Things like quests, miniquests, completing slayer tasks and recovering "artifacts" from monsters or skilling which could work like strange rocks would gain xp, and the skill itself could be used to like you said, buff and debuff other. Other benefits could be ability to wear or receive legendary items and some kind of bonus to the new abilities (fame would be a good measurement of real world experience). Its going to be a gather skill paired with a artisan skill. Not guaranteed. Just an idea of them. Yeah true, but that's what they want and I'm sure it's not really going to change. I think it's a safe bet to say that's how it's going to be because there are a lot of motives for doing a gather/artisan suggestion. Unless they get something totally different I don't think that such a basic layout will change.
  6. It's not going to be your "fully rebindable" so go in the corner and start crying now :P. If youd o that now then maybe the one less person doing it on the beta release will lessen the amount whining I see. Jagex is going to do things how they want. Maybe they didn't program their key bind system to cover complex keys. Maybe they thought since tabs are bound to the F keys, the shift key is designated as a quick switch to flip through bars and the tilde for the dev console that it would be iffy giving full access to all the keys. Maybe jagex thought it would be too hard to code at the moment?

  8. I think that's good, but I think 10% would be better... Think that's my greed talking.
  9. Status update: 5 abandoned, 7 occult and C1's left. 2514k xp to 110 and 87.6k tokens.
  10. Decided against buying sneakerpeeper... Such a waste in my opinion. Here is tome of frost the last reward: So now begins the saving of tokens for xp! Might do it and spend when I get close to a level versus saving for when i hit 119+.
  11. Apparently there will be a free item shop... I would assume potions and food will be all that you can obtain. I would like to think that players who have obtained other things like armor and weapons in the real game would know them best than if they supplied to the whole masses with free armor/weapons and asked for their opinion of each items change and play in combat. Maybe you would get free bronze-rune, but thats all i see coming as freebie test buys. That is mostly me trying to think how a jagex staff member might respond to the question. We may actually have the lose on death mechanic turned off for our accounts like jagex had for their mod accounts so they might be a more honest and thorough play feedback response.
  12. It is obviously rebindable 1) you can reassign keys. 2) you can reassign slots. That's not what I meant. Rebindable as in bindable to mouse scroll wheel, alt/shift keys, etc. ^ 1) you can reassign keys. We don't know if you can bind them to combo (ctrl+a) keys, or the mouse wheel yet. Hence my original post. Derp. Yes we do know They said in the latest BTS video quite clearly you can reassigned action bar items to almost any SINGLE KEYBOARD key, including a-z 1-0 and some of the symbols. He wants them as combination keys like ctrl-q or alt-w, or assignable to the mouse scroll wheel (though that is already the camera). Shift for different bars is pretty okay for me at least. Yeah I am glad they had the forethought of a fast key method of clutching through the bars.
  13. If you are referring to the rings, like berzerker class, being effected well they'll be changing as well. You do make a point because certain monsters are better dispatched using crush, but slash is horrible.
  14. I mean for actual actions not switching the bars.
  15. I would like to see shift keys added later.
  16. Ring of vigour purchased... I'm interested in how it'll play it's roll in beta. I think it's fairly obvious and will help with dps, but we wont know until release. All I can say is I hope it's not going to be one of the refunded rewards from dg like prayers and surgeboxes. Last rewards to buy are tome of frost and sneakerpeeper spawn. 109 dg coming up in about 50 minutes... And here it is... 109 dung and f55 unlocked. 17.3k tokens from tome of frost.
  17. So we know about surgeboxes and the prayers... But what about the ring of vigour?
  18. So I was determined to get 109 dung today before hitting the sack... I got one floor down, was working on another and figured out the xp rate per warp floor wouldn't let me hit it with just 3 floors so I was settling in for a 4 floor run... Then two team members throw a shit-fit over ALMOST, but NOT dying with a pot boost to open the door. So the guy who does the door rage quits... No big deal, he was a [wagon] for leaving and wasting his time. Then the person who I assume was a leech leaves, then the pot guy leaves and the last guy leaves. Such a [wagon] move... I am so good at restraining myself that everyone else ragequit before me. I ended up leaving and raging at my friend hardcore over the [wagon]es in this game. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
  19. I don't really give a squat for the name, it could be named Gigantic Testes Bar of Actions and it wouldn't matter to me. I'm mainly talking about its functions :P It's quite obvious dear :P... Although I got a strange feeling the combat actions might be boiled down for the most part for 'efficiency'. Wait - inb4 a skillers bar comes out. Had to say it before everyone else.
  20. Honest opinion is that special attack was such a generic name that it had to be changed to something more refreshing and appealing to combat. And yeah I think my original coment was moreso about the menus and such because it lacks a certain element of fluidity (which I called from Jagex, but definitely a good start). With this bit of insight I'm interested how players will push the action bars... I'm betting within weeks people will have bar 1 for food, pots, prot pray flashes and bar 2 for fast gear switches or something like that. Having protect from melee, range, mage and soulsplit and turmoil in adjacent keys sounds so sexy... I can't wait now that I think about it. If jagex brought out complex actions of the hotbar it would break the quick prayers.
  21. What effect? Must be like the bleed effect, but maybe it's like it bleeds out a percentage of the remaining health. Their test dummy was reported to have like 20k lp or something.
  22. Not too impressed with the action bar or the abilities, but I'm sure it'll change when I use them and theyll come out awesome nonetheless.
  23. Can you explain this a little more please? I'm a bit confused. An investment of 750k (over ten days) will net you several million GP in stuff. It's like a form of controlled botting because you can literally just set your account and bam, the stuff you get will literally pay for itself. He means something like a set-it-and-forget-it type thing/
  24. Managed to get my C1's done... Found a high level occult I didn't do, but ended up being an epic flop as I died 3 times to thunder... I don't get it how can I do awesome at thunder one time and die a shit ton the next? Well tomorrow I'm planning to do three floors and my C1's to hit 109 and buy ring of vigour and maybe a couple more floors for the tome of frost.
