  1. he should just hold a fundraiser or something

so far the level of situational realism has been lacking in terms of:

    - showing ALL of the options at once so people can actually see which choices may or may not be the most important

    - allowing people to put their own gold into the effort because since it's all imaginary gold going into an imaginary crisis it's not as if it will severely unbalance everything

hell, they could have made it a fantasy crowdfunding thing by having people put money into various projects and then seeing which ones hit the goals and implementing those

The only thing I found misleading is the SOF question...

    I think the

    Should be removed....

[spoiler=some clarification]xp is actually part of that item's name, go look it up

that being said, since all of the generic lamps were converted to prismatic naming conventions (perhaps after the creation of this puzzle) one might still get confused

  3. I just posted this on the HLF:

The Battle of Lumbridge is more of a series of duels and small skirmishes at the moment. As a war-chief, I feel I could do more if I were allowed to command some troops.

So the suggestion is: Implement a way to play Conquest (versus AI or players) on a Battle of Lumbridge map. Mobilising Armies is fine too. Fist of Guthix, too. Bounty Hunter? Why not.

If you are particularly interested in creating the battle-feel, starting with basic Conquest, add:

30s turn time, fixed. Make it a bit more hectic.

Units can be bigger than 1x1 - combine units in the Setup interface. Allow you to command bigger parts of the army at once, sacrificing fine control.

Can move two units per turn - pincer movements, go. Also makes it harder to move in time, without quite making it RTS.

Units look like squadrons (see: MA). Mostly for the 'massive' feel.

Units are agressive: they'll attack one target within range, once per turn. You can command which: lowest health, highest health, closest, furthest.

The setup screen allows you to select up to, say, 2000 points worth of basic units (24 slots) + commands (4 slots) (as per Conquest rules). You can also combine units here and choose your starting formation.

Combined units function as multiple instances of the same unit, they just move together (in formation - it takes one turn to change a formation into the other). If one dies, the rest closes the formation (as you command), taking one turn.

I know it's a lot of work to get done (before the final phase of BoL), but maybe you can implement it for the next battle. The Conquest system is already there, after all.

I wouldn't mind seeing the aggression & combining units in regular Conquest as well, and an option to play with more units and points.

...didn't we already have a god wars rts?

maybe we could have a better one this time

  4. I really liked the quest, it's alot better than the previous quests. However, also alot easier than the previous Black Knight's Fortress Quest. All you had to do is follow the path.

What I really didn't like about Saradomin is:

He would've took the wand even if you wanted to destroy it. The wand seems very powerfull, so the world might be better off without it. I actually wanted the wand myself, and become a God.

first off, not an elder artifact

secondly, they've confirmed that godhood is impossible to attain for any player character

  5. if you say "I support X" with X being your god, saradomin just completely ignores what you said and says the canned response

the prayer is largely of no consequence either

i think owen takes his shield back if you're a total zamorak [wagon] or something

probably wrong though, I think the cutoff is a split between whether you took his shield, or if you left it (in which he will then give to you at that point)

it is fun lording your guardian status around though

  6. exp does scale with level

as for the silver nodes, unlike the other stupid node types, they actually stay long enough to get a decent amount of metal out of them, even if you didn't start on it right away

will test if it works with divine inspiration later

fun fact: champions will not explode if they enter the enemy camp, and will actually spawn camp if enemies appear next to it while it is strolling about

  7. actually, they used some pretty art deco designs on that one, my main complaint is that a bunch of the weapons are way too small to actually have decorations on them

anyway, I'll wait to see if the actual result looks anything at all like the concept design before lobbying criticisms
