ROCK IS THE BEST!!!!!
perhaps, perhaps not. Has everyone noticed we only have 3 mods left for OT? and how long has it been since we have seen an admin on OT I don't know, but I just saw two mods 15 or so minutes ago.

What football team do you support?
Hehe, this is why I always hated the fact that we call American football football. If I am correct, the term football was already in use for the sport of 'scoccer' when American football developed. But I'm not entirely sure. cooooooorect! american football is most probably a derivative of rugby. Yea, I figure the same thing.

Sigh... My point is that obsessed for Anesthesia could mean what you think "obsessed to a certain point is." What, for instance, do you consider an acceptable type of obsession? Anesthesia might not think that what you consider acceptable as "obsessed." You can't define something as "okay up until a certain point" without clearly defining what that point is, and what is consisted of being obsessed up until that point - and then say you disagree with someone. Becuase you haven't even given an accurate definition of your own opinion to reasonably compare it to his. The point, in my opinion, would be when your life revolves around it and when it begins to bother others. When everything you do involves that obsession. But I consider it perfectly fine to be obsessed with something, in the way that you like it very much, but not to the point where it begins to bother others, and intrude upon others. For example, me and Europe. BTW read Lateralus' post.

What do you hate most about school?
+1 Yea, I hate tests and quiz's, if it weren't for tests, I would ace all my classes. But then again, I do see the advantage of tests and quiz's from time to time.

Children of that age can't, they can't get hold of real guns or airguns unless their parents give them to them - passing the responsibility onto the parent. When one gets older it is just like any other obsession - it's unhealthy to be obsessed.]/b] People who are obsessed with guns aren't 'cool' in general society. They may be considered cool within the guns society, but the same can be said for anyone who's obsessed with anything in their own society. I disagree. It is perfectly fine to be obsessed with something to a certain point. For all you know, that "certain point" is what Anesthesia is talking about. It's possible, but he didn't state it that way. He said it's unhealthy to be obsessed, not within a certain point.

You come off as extremely over-sensitive. I was simply asking, I never said it was bad in the least. #-o

What is it with the male 'and female' preoccupation with weaponry and guns, and the likes of battling and killing? I'm not in any way saying it's bad, and nor am I talking specifically about Runescape. But, especially in younger male children, I tend to find a preoccupation with things like weaponry, wars, fighting, guns, the list goes on. So to make this short, I want to discuss this preoccupation, pertaining to people of any age, and either sex, and also focusing on where it's seen most.

If you were given a $1000 to make a difference...
Really? Well if you can do that, how come you haven't already done it? Surely $1000 isn't that hard to acquire, it's not that much money. I'll be here waiting for your name on CNN and MSNBC.

What football team do you support?
I would support Liverpool.

Michigan Has pot in 2008?
Bloody hell. I hate Michigan. Well, I guess we can add this to our list of achievements, alongside the fattest, and second highest crime rate city, Detroit. If I can't move to Europe when I turn 18, than I'm going to Ontario. It's perfect, it's not to far from home, there's even a good university in Guelph. I love Canada!!It's just expensive.

Who likes the bad guy?
Yes, I adored Silas from the Da Vinci Code.

Would this be worth it?
Yea, if your parents are crazy enough to spend that much for a present.

private schools: for or against?
Still, if nothing is done to make public schools better, why should everyone get a poor education? So basically what your saying is that poor people have less of a right to an educatation than anyone else? Life is unfair. Rich/well off kids/ and middle class kids basically get a better education based on society.

If you were given a $1000 to make a difference...
Like I said, small changes. Unless the person's going to be the next Lenin, I don't see an economic reason for throwing the money their way. Now, if you were kicking out a corrupt government so that an entire society can have the prospect of prosperous lives free of oppression, then yeah, go for it. That's right, let the children suffer too, because they starved to death, because the person is trying so hard with 2 jobs and can't be home. Etc. I don't see you being the next Lenin either. $1000 will do nothing but pay off a few college classes. I would normally agree with you, but since the money isn't yours to begin with, I see no problem with helping another in need.

If you were given a $1000 to make a difference...
That's the thing. I wouldn't US$1,000 is, to me, insufficient to make a difference I'd care about. Besides, I'm more for letting people take care of themselves than just handing out aid. Better that you gave me several hundred million dollars, then I could let it go to some structural changes in some horribly corrupt governments and by extension, let the lesser people help themselves. What if the person had no control over the event? And is struggling now to make it, even though they were once fine, but after something they had no control over happened, they are left without smack. That's just one example. I see most people on here don't like to see smiles on other peoples face's besides there own from time to time. Or feel gratitude.
-
If you were given a $1000 to make a difference...
The point is to help others. Not yourself, that's selfishness, unless you are seriously poor, and in that case, you wouldn't be here right now on this forum.

What were you doing New Years Eve Y2K

If you were given a $1000 to make a difference...
For those who have seen this idea on Oprah, or the question on Yahoo Answers, it's basically the same thing. If you were given a $1000 (roughly ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã510, ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì750, $1,130 CAN, $885 AUS), to use somehow to make a difference in someone else's life. how would you spend the money? Explain your plan, would you give it to several, an organization, or to a single person suffering, etc.
