  1. UPDATES: Rev. France & Great Britain: Great Britain enact the Orders in Council to combat Napoleon's Continental System. Effect: France gains the modifier 'Orders in Council - British Response' giving -10% tariff income ---- Rev. France: British transport ships arrive off the coast of Brittany, who unload the other French counter-revolutionary army that had fled to Cornwall last year. Effect: Counter-Revolutionary army in Brittany gains 4,000 dragoons and 2,000 line infantry. Rev. France gains the ability to recruit the unit 'French Conscript' for 700 each. They're piss poor quality troops, but any ones that survive a battle are automatically upgraded to Line Infantry at no cost. ---------- Prussia: Prussian transports heading towards Brittany are attacked by privateers, who manage to sink a handful before they are chased off by the British Royal Navy coming out of port in London. Effect: Prussia -1,500,000 ducats (for replacement costs) Tech Update: Shot Towers - Pretty self explanatory link (-5% cannon costs) Wealth of Nations by Adolf Schmit (+5% production income) ---- Worldly Stuff: Prussia and Portugal sign a 999 year non-aggression pact Prussia and Great Britain sign a 999 year non-aggression pact as well as a mutual assistance treaty against France(military alliance) Prussia and the USA sign a 999 year non-aggression pact as well as a mutual assistance treaty against France(military alliance) Poland announces to Russia that the alliance between the two states is off, and that Russia owes Poland 20,000,000 ducats as war reparations for their unjust invasion of Poland a few years back. ----- I shall do the battle in Brittany and the mucking about in China shortly.
  2. Lol like that would ever happen arch
  3. You can claim whatever you want. Problems start cropping up if you start believing that lie and acting on it though.
  4. Successful, map on front page is up to date. As well as budgets.
  5. Just to clear something up to Icu: The way war generally works is that, if peace is made between two nations, each nation doesn't just keep what they're occupying, unless its been worked out in the treaty that that land should go to one of the nations. You get what I'm saying? You have to actually include the land in the peace terms if you want it. So...unless Trol says that it was agreed upon that Gibraltar was the cost for peace, it's still a British province. -- 'nother example: In Ye Olde Hegemony, when I invaded you while you were mucking about in Bruges, we agreed on the deal of you withdrawing from Bruges and Sardinia going to Spain. When the deal was made, I controlled like 80% of France, but my troops simply withdrew after the treaty back to Spain and that territory went back under French control.
  6. Pretty much, if you've signed a treaty with the USA. edit: ty Dungeonal
  7. Tech Updates: Netherlands: Naval Shotguns (+5% boarding efficiency) Ship Hull Reinforcement (More durable hulls) Mass Production III (+10% tech income) Expansion of the Dutch Water Line (Delays armies coming into the Netherlands from France for 1 round) 16 Pounder Cannon (More effective cannon, but more expensive) - Cost: 600,000 ea Ability to Build Railroads (Precourser to Steam Power) Early Steam Engine (Precourser to Steam Power) Crop Rotation (+5% tech income) Russia: Ability to build Coastal Artillery in coastal fortresses (Rather large and clunky things, good for destroying ships silly enough to sail by, but useless for anything else really. Can't move them due to their size either) Dry Docks (-5% ship costs) Rain proof sidearm (Officers perform better in combat) 6 Pounder Cannon (Horse drawn artillery, nicknamed the 'Pea Shooter'. Ineffective for serious work, but is light enough to move quickly with armies without slowing them down) - Cost: 350,000 ea Crop Rotation (+5% tech income) [Not much for now Retech, since most of your projects were started rather recently] Prussia: Mass Production III (+10% tech income) Early Steam Engine (Precourser to Steam Power) Rain proof sidearm (Officers perform better in combat) Puddling Furnace (+10% production income) Great Britain: Crop Rotation (+5% tech income) Ship Hull Reinforcement (More durable hulls) Rifled Muskets (Can train Riflemen now) - Skirmisher Unit, 1250 ea Spain: Ship Hull Reinforcement (More durable hulls) Portugal: Ship Hull Reinforcement (More durable hulls)
  8. Because they didn't want 50,000 Indians coming screaming in and burning everything.
  9. Yea that rule is off, I forgot that hegemony wars are always these gigantic mega wars.
  10. They had retreated to Canada, owing to the fact they had barely anyone left (and so wouldn't be sitting around near the 'merican border.
  11. They have pretty terrible troops. 2000 skirmishers, 4000 militia, and 2000 Iroquois cavalry. Basically crap
  12. is this it? :( my armies couldn't even find his rabble? It said you killed them. You mean Jospeh Brant's loyalist army? They ran away, and there were other rebellions to deal with.
  13. Budget is reset today, so yes you get reinforced. Any attacks meant for today should be PM'd to me since this round hasn't been done yet (the one before was from yesterday). I'll get to tech sometime today, but I'm gonna go lie outside and listen to Dan Carlin rattle on about the Punic Wars.
  14. You just said to destroy Spanish trade routes in North America. --- Random Event - Netherlands Efficient Administration Yadayadayada filler text, good administration (for Grim's very precise budgetary record keeping) Effect: Netherlands gains the 'efficient administration' modifier giving +10% tariff income
  15. Alright then it's today after the British-American war update, since the one I posted today was actually yesterdays (oops)
  16. Who cares...they're both delicious.
  17. Tomorrow I believe. Also... Random Event - Spain 'Splosion One of our ships carrying grain to France exploded for seemingly no reason. Spanish authorities think it was because God was angry with them. That or spies. Probably spies. Effect: Spain loses 1 Two decker ship of the line. --- Prussian news:
  18. They have some firearms. They're not European line infantry quality though
  19. 150,000. Aprox They're crummy though.
  20. Yea this won't end well.
  21. ^Brittany ---------- Russia update: Ming China's invasion of Russia Somewhere around 27,000 Chinese troops have invaded Russia's eastern frontier (exact number unknown due to the lack of Russian forces in the area). With no significant opposition, they have over-run Russia's easternmost provinces easily. I suppose.
  22. Rev. France update: -Mass executions of political enemies under the guise of stamping out opposition to the new French government -Grain from Netherlands, Spain arrive in France and finally begin feeding the people -Grain from Russia arrives in Brittany and is given to Counter-Revolutionaries, who rise up again in revolt now that they think they have the support of the Russian Crown (4,000 Curiassers, 2,000 hussars, 1,000 dragoons, 6,000 line infantry, 4,000 Fusiliers, 2,000 Skirmishers - 19,000 under the leadership of Lord Thomas (cavalry commander) [Defeat this army and the Reign of Terror ends] Spain update: Peruvian Nationalists rampage across South American, and Peru declares independence from Spain. (map is updated) --- There'll be a tech update today as well at some point.
