Napoleonic Hegemony
Just to clear something up to Icu: The way war generally works is that, if peace is made between two nations, each nation doesn't just keep what they're occupying, unless its been worked out in the treaty that that land should go to one of the nations. You get what I'm saying? You have to actually include the land in the peace terms if you want it. So...unless Trol says that it was agreed upon that Gibraltar was the cost for peace, it's still a British province. -- 'nother example: In Ye Olde Hegemony, when I invaded you while you were mucking about in Bruges, we agreed on the deal of you withdrawing from Bruges and Sardinia going to Spain. When the deal was made, I controlled like 80% of France, but my troops simply withdrew after the treaty back to Spain and that territory went back under French control.

Tech Updates: Netherlands: Naval Shotguns (+5% boarding efficiency) Ship Hull Reinforcement (More durable hulls) Mass Production III (+10% tech income) Expansion of the Dutch Water Line (Delays armies coming into the Netherlands from France for 1 round) 16 Pounder Cannon (More effective cannon, but more expensive) - Cost: 600,000 ea Ability to Build Railroads (Precourser to Steam Power) Early Steam Engine (Precourser to Steam Power) Crop Rotation (+5% tech income) Russia: Ability to build Coastal Artillery in coastal fortresses (Rather large and clunky things, good for destroying ships silly enough to sail by, but useless for anything else really. Can't move them due to their size either) Dry Docks (-5% ship costs) Rain proof sidearm (Officers perform better in combat) 6 Pounder Cannon (Horse drawn artillery, nicknamed the 'Pea Shooter'. Ineffective for serious work, but is light enough to move quickly with armies without slowing them down) - Cost: 350,000 ea Crop Rotation (+5% tech income) [Not much for now Retech, since most of your projects were started rather recently] Prussia: Mass Production III (+10% tech income) Early Steam Engine (Precourser to Steam Power) Rain proof sidearm (Officers perform better in combat) Puddling Furnace (+10% production income) Great Britain: Crop Rotation (+5% tech income) Ship Hull Reinforcement (More durable hulls) Rifled Muskets (Can train Riflemen now) - Skirmisher Unit, 1250 ea Spain: Ship Hull Reinforcement (More durable hulls) Portugal: Ship Hull Reinforcement (More durable hulls)

They had retreated to Canada, owing to the fact they had barely anyone left (and so wouldn't be sitting around near the 'merican border.

Napoleonic Hegemony
They have pretty terrible troops. 2000 skirmishers, 4000 militia, and 2000 Iroquois cavalry. Basically crap

is this it? :( my armies couldn't even find his rabble? It said you killed them. You mean Jospeh Brant's loyalist army? They ran away, and there were other rebellions to deal with.

Budget is reset today, so yes you get reinforced. Any attacks meant for today should be PM'd to me since this round hasn't been done yet (the one before was from yesterday). I'll get to tech sometime today, but I'm gonna go lie outside and listen to Dan Carlin rattle on about the Punic Wars.

You just said to destroy Spanish trade routes in North America. --- Random Event - Netherlands Efficient Administration Yadayadayada filler text, good administration (for Grim's very precise budgetary record keeping) Effect: Netherlands gains the 'efficient administration' modifier giving +10% tariff income

Tomorrow I believe. Also... Random Event - Spain 'Splosion One of our ships carrying grain to France exploded for seemingly no reason. Spanish authorities think it was because God was angry with them. That or spies. Probably spies. Effect: Spain loses 1 Two decker ship of the line. --- Prussian news:

^Brittany ---------- Russia update: Ming China's invasion of Russia Somewhere around 27,000 Chinese troops have invaded Russia's eastern frontier (exact number unknown due to the lack of Russian forces in the area). With no significant opposition, they have over-run Russia's easternmost provinces easily. I suppose.

Yea, your land army. Iceland is an island, btw...so you need to put your troops in boats and send them off to get them to another piece of land. If they weren't on the boats then they were in Iceland. Unless of course you ordered your heavily armoured men and horses to swim across the Atlantic and invade Spain like that.
