  1. I have no idea how old you are, but the fear is ever present in politics and the older generation(s). I haven't looked to hard, but I have yet to see an open, active Communist party in the States. Also, the US still has an embargo on Cuba, does it not? Cuban cigars contain secret mindwashing drugs that make the smoker support Communism, duh.
  2. In an essence it wasn't until the late 1840s when Karl Marx wrote The Manifesto of the Communist Party (more commonly known as The Communist Manifesto). It was written for the working masses to promote Communism, but is often viewed as the definitive communistic work. Communism has always been: 1)the elimination of social classes 2)the controlling of all economic production and distribution by the government 3)the elimination of all concept of private property 4)all the wealth of the nation belonging to the whole (that part comes straight from Socialism). There are a fwe other points to it, but those are the biggest ones that really define Communism. The book may have been called the Communist Manifesto, but this ideal state of "Communism" has never actually been defined, and is still open to interpretation by many philosophers and historians. I don't see it as such. The "perfect" Communistic state can never be truly defined as, with human greed, it's an impossible state to achieve. Unless something extreme happens to create the "perfect" Communistic state, we'll never know what it would really be like. That extreme would have to be really extreme though, as it would have to be a global movement and not just by singular nations to truly achieve the ideal Communistic state. However, the theory of Communism seems to be pretty defined and not too open to interpretation by now.

  4. Okay, I'm personally sick of America's fear of Communism and how it's always lumped together with Socialism. Neither are diseases that are going to spread and take control of the world if we let a government operate like that. Socialism and Communism are similar in the aspect of government control, but their main ideas and ideals are completely different. Both can lead to an abusive federal government because of human greed. Humans are almost inherently greedy, so the elimination of wealth classes wouldn't work as someone will always take control and more money. However, Socialistic practices are everywhere, including the United States and have been around before the Socialist philosophy was fully developed. A few examples from throughout American history are: tariffs, railroads, transportation, and education. Personally, I'm neither a Socialist nor a Communist but I'm just tired of peoples' fear of it and the inability of some to differentiate the two. Discuss your feelings on the two philosophies, if you know/knew the difference, the irrational fear towards the two, and Socialistic practices in our lives. *Just to clear it up for those who didn't know (if you didn't my post may not have made a lot of sense): Socialism - political philosophy where the government controls the economy, distribution of goods, and abolishes private business; belief that wealth should belong to a country as a whole; examples of famous Socialists: George Orwell and Upton Sinclair Communism - political philosophy derived from Socialism that takes government control a step further by eliminating social classes and take control of everything for a short period, before slowly fading away leaving no federal government, and creating a "perfect" classless society that would be the ultimate synthesis (according to Conflict Theory of Historical Change based on Hegel); examples of famous Communists: Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin *Both definitions are in my own words and may not be 100% right, but are there for people to understand the general ideas.
  5. Hmmm... I do see how the Veterans Disarmament Act can be seen as Constitution infringing. Both parts would deny the 2nd Amendment to people who have (yet) to do anything to prove they shouldn't own a gun. The thing about rights is that everyone is entitled to them, unless they use their rights to infringe on another person's rights. So, the Gang Abatement Act sounds pretty good as we would take guns out of the hands of gang criminals. Everyone is entitled to their rights, and the right to life is often infringed by those who we would be taking the guns away from. Sounds good to me.
  6. Hawt Share the love! I'm going to feel so bad for the guy who buys his dragon chain the day before the plate comes out and chain prices drop to the boondox.
  7. Check out my stats: deathlord552. I'm not that strong and could go quite a while with a regular strength potion and 19 monkfishes. You could always bring more, I don't because I get a lot of drops. For equipment I used a whip (my friend's, with anything else I couldn't stay as long per load of monkfish), helm of neitznot, mind elemental shield, barrows gloves, amulet of glory, black d'hide body and legs, and ring of life (from other people I assumed it's easier to get a black mask without a ring of wealth).
  8. Hmm... and how does that work out? TO ANYONE who is calling Cryztalwing a conspiracy theorist, sensationalist, radical, propaganda-ist, freedom lover, individualist or what-have-you. (And just when did alternative news become propaganda? whats their motivation to deceive?) To help you better understand Cryztalwing's news articles and the real motives behind these political acts, I invite you to read the following documents. A tenet of collectivism is that anything can be justified simply by claiming that it is for the greater good of the greater number. Therefore, whatever is going on, when it eventually is disclosed to the public, it will be explained as a wonderful humanitarian measure that is in the best interest of all mankind, and we will be expected to be tingly all over with gratitude for the wisdom and benevolence of those great leaders who initiated it. http://freedom-force.org/pdf/futurecalling1.pdf http://freedom-force.org/pdf/futurecalling2.pdf http://freedom-force.org/pdf/futurecalling3.pdf http://freedom-force.org/pdf/futurecalling4.pdf From what I saw of that website, it seems to be a propaganda filled organization all about "re-instilling" the rights of the individual. I call it propaganda because of its "Unfilitered News" and "Creed of Freedom". 9 times out of 10, these kinds of things are propaganda-filled cream puffs to try and sway the masses with their yummy propaganda-licious filling. Also, about the "good leaders" who would make themselves seem even better by instating this, they're the reason I would support a form of international law. We can't let the world leaders running around (being controlled by big business and secret agendas) without some form of restrictions on them. This can be seen as a step towards world government, but with only a Judiciary and a room full of people who make mandates, they still have a ways to go. Also, a true world government would have to be forced (probably violently) on the people as even the "non-enlightened" masses would have a problem with it. On that note, a Totalitarian world government would be almost impossible to have exist/maintain unless we had the kind of situations described in books, such as Brave New World and 1984.
  9. There seems to be a lot of details missing from this, but it seems that it would tax the companies that take the resources. Of course, they would pass those taxes onto the public though.
  10. Not sure specifically what you're asking, but it seems to me that you want a spreadsheet program to log drops. You have to do it manually, but Microsoft Excel, any other spreadsheet program, or this might help you out.
  11. I know it's been said lots of times, but: I really can't wait to see the results. Good luck and good job on the dedication.

I have to agree with that. It's not that I actually look at those details, but today it was outstanding. Those aren't normal breasts. Tell me about it. Off-Topic: I keep thinking you're Reb. -.- Is it still that confusing switch avatars week or whatnot?
  13. The Real ET replied to dark_blob's topic in Off-Topic
That he doesn't. He's got the fact that he's a lesbian (in a sense) out in public. Great way to end the week (though I didn't like the larger drawing of Ash today), can't wait to see what happens on Monday. :D
  14. Seriously, what is so bad about this? If you're going to oppose something so avidly, the least you could do is give us some reasons why a global government would be so bad and "evil"? In times like these, with wars coming out of every governmental orifice, we need some kind of stability and way to control the extreme (mostly violent actions) of many countries. I'm not really in favor of a world government. But, from how you're making this "treaty" sound, it just provides badly needed infrastructure to Third World Countries and badly needed regulation for the world. What's so bad about that, and where's the substantial evidence? Something this big would be greatly featured in the media and would be highly controversial. Aside from you, I've heard almost nothing about it and have not seen anything about it in the media. So, why should I oppose this?
  15. That's very possible, but I advise you to play runescape less. That's an insane amount of time, it took me well over a month to kill 2k of them and I thought that I played too much. :P
  16. Proabaly Castle wars I used the mithril grapple which made Yanille closer, and I had teletabs which brought me to my house (in Yanille) in one click. Without those things castle wars may be faster though. Then do the quest. :P
  17. Blue dragons in the Ogre Enclave worked well for me. Depends on your levels though.
  18. This guide is amazing... =P~ Once I craft all the runes I need I'm doing some hardcore training here.
  19. Unfortunately, you can't. Glad I could help so much.
  20. Level 3 clues are completely random and the hands down best place is the Ogre Enclave from the Watchtower quest. You don't have to do the whole quest to access it. It's pretty easy to bank and most of the people who are there are macroers. Good stuff, I killed 2k of them a few months back. :P

We're so cool. 8-) Life is good.
  22. With high level monsters, there are ways to beat the speed of a one-click (like someone wind striking), and the right click is there as to give a perk to being high level as much as a warning. With pking, it would give pures an advantage as they could one-click anyone. Overall, I feel the power of a one-click is a perk that should be meant for high levels, I do not support.
  23. Because the dragon square isn't even a status symbol. The most it means is that you beat Legends (which can be done as low as mid-50s) and had a million to spend (or less).
  24. People are saying it's not truly random, and I don't know. What I do know is that before last August I had only gotten mime once in all my years of playing and suddenly I got a bunch in August (3 in one day once) and now only need to get it one more time to finish outfit. Other randoms I get pretty regularly though (though drill sargent did work the same as mime).
