ya lolz abbrs are kewl and 1337 5p34|< 2, so im guna use em in all my posts! i dun have time 2 type so i just put nums in there to shorten evrythin! also i nevr use caps cuz they req me to press shift. Come on, people, was that understandable? I mean, for a person who speaks English, 2 means two/too/to. Alright. But take me, a Quebecer, whose mother tongue is French. When I read the "2" in that sentence, I think "deux". "2 type" might mean "two guys" for me... And abbreviating evertyhing like Superlazer86 and the stereotypical AOL speaker I pictured leads to confusion and longer sentence parsing times. As in, "Hey! That abbreviation can mean 4 different things, which one is it?" For example, is the 2 he typed a two, a too or a to?
