  1. Nay, you are assuming that this is it. This is the time when players should go on RSOF and suggest changes and ask questions. There are plenty of Jmods are at the forum at new releases and this is no exception.
  2. As much as you may dislike the skill, I do not think there is any denying in how much work Jagex has put in this. Second of all why is the lack of training option a problem? There are different ways you can do it, you can rush them or attempt to get every bonus multipliers, whichever you like.
  3. You can use potion boosts to receive access to those doors.
  4. You CAN run the lower level dungeons over and over again, but as you level up and complete more floors you will have access to more difficult dungeons to raid. So yes as you level up the difficulty can be harder if you choose to raid the hard floors.
  5. [hide] [/hide] So you dislike it because you have to relay on others. Sure some people are just no team players, I understand that, but there is a solo option, the question right now is how viable is it? @Punitive, Yes you receive exp for everything you do.
  6. The question here is how viable it is in the long run. IF it is, then I think players like Qeltar and Saliris would have nothing to worry about as they can train the skill by themselves.
  7. Sure, what is slayer? Some dude tell you to kill X of Y, what is that? A fetch quest, does it stop the skill becomes the most popular? No. The question here is not if is a skill or minigame, the question should more be is it FUN. No, as a matter of fact, I don't think it's fun at all. Not as a skill, anyway. The experience gains are based on the overall performance of the entire team, leaving your experience gains at the mercy of others. That is no way for a skill to function. Slayer makes sense in the way it's set up, you get experience by what you kill. What you kill. Not by what someone else kills. Also, what the hell does this mean? -> "A fetch quest, does it stop the skill becomes the most popular?" <- That sentence makes absolutely no sense to me. I was trying to say that slayer is similar to fetch quests as to dungeoneering is similar to raiding. So why is slayer popular when dungeoneering is destined to fail when the two concepts(fetch quest/raiding) have been around in countless MMOs? Do people dislike raiding? I see your problem is that the skill is based around group activities, therefore leaving your exp rate in mercy of other players. There are ways around this, Jagex could do what Guild Wars did and implement a henchmen option, have NPCs replace players, or you can join a clan. Group skill is a new concept, and hey you might like it after sometime trying.
  8. Put the statues on the pads?
  9. I agree with Ravian on the reward part. It is really lacking and Jagex should definitely add more in there, perhaps incorporate some dungeon items like blood necklace as rewards.

  11. I am wondering a bit why. I mean slayer is the most popular skill among players and is basically the kill X of Y quest made into a skill. Dungeoneering just seems raiding wrapped in a little box. Why do players dislike raiding?
  12. Entangle micro, hard as hell but doable. Assuming you are soloing of course.
  13. The rewards looks situational to be honest. There are some nice little items here and there like bonecrusher and the poison totem. But the weapons/shields seems way too expensive for their use. 200k cost per hour? I only see dedicate boss hunters/pkers/CWAers use those items. The items such as blood necklace and the flameburst/hailstorm combinations looks interesting. Why not incorporate those into normal gameplay?
  14. F2p Pkers/clanners as a ko/snipe weapon.
  15. Check out the slayer tab lol, +690 strength dagger, +110 necklace that deals 20 damage AOE every 10 secs and heal you for half the amount. @Paw, the +110 is the range attack bonus, which means is extremely accurate. Also for some people, clanning is everything, I am sure the serious clanners will have this as a goal. @Qeltar, yes I kind of agree, but hey the point of playing a game is to have fun, does it really matter what is it called?
  16. Hey good for you, I thought you were stubborn. Also I think Jagex may have accidently greated nerfed f2p mage once again. If the KB is right then you can have a +110 range attack maple longbow. Mages will get slaughtered this way. Yeah but that requires 45k tokens to buy and at the lower lvl dungeons u get like 5 tokens a go, plus f2p having lower lvls anyway. AND it only goes on longbows, which are bloody slow and annoying compared to shortbows. So I doubt its gonna gain hgue usage Don't underestimate the power of +110 range attack. Also there are plenty of f2p players with extremely high levels, or members who may play in f2p(like me).

  18. That is my idea of fun, actually, though I don't know (and neither do you) if that's the case. Clearly it's designed for groups and that makes me not want to play it. There are *tons* of group RPGs out there. RS was great because it was so easy to play Solo. Why did they spoil that? Grom how is my perspective lacking? Because it's different than yours and I dislike group play? No, it is because you see things from a negative light. For example when God Wars first came out, everybody was sure that it was a group effort. Now people solo bandos for the lulz. Right now the new skill comes out and everyone is so sure that is a group effort, and I think the same. But are you so quick to proclaim that it cannot be soloed? If it can be soloed, you have just stated that it is then going to be too hard. What do you want then? A skill that is easy to train and solo related? Like runecrafting?
  19. Or you can see it as a great challenge and train your behind up. Is all a matter of perspective, and to be frank, your perspective is lacking.
  20. Sure, and I am hoping this is going to be a great success because of the group aspect.
  21. Join a clan  , if this is the clan support update Jagex was promising us about, in the form of a skill, then I am EXTREMELY satisfied.
  22. Right, because WoW is the only and the first game with instanced dungeons and by having instanced dungeons makes a game WoW. See I am fine with reasonable arguements, but this is just ridiculous.
  23. damn it, now everyone is going to be raiding and I am only 12.5k dragon bones away from 95 prayer...where the hell am I going to find an altar now? <_< PS: Oh I forgot, this is AWESOME for clans, hey I just might be back to PKM after this.
  24. See the thing is that I think the problem most of us are having is the fact right now is that Jagex actually made the demand. The deal is good, Tip did not sell out because according to the admins, there is no lose in making the deal. To be honest, if I was the sole admin of tip and Jagex approach me with the deal, I would make it in a heart beat. It benefits the community and the website as a whole and we lose absolutely nothing. Everybody seems to be on board for this at least, I am still a bit annoyed that Jagex actually made the demand but I think the admins made the right decision.
