  1. wow, good improvements all around. these pictures are composed pretty well, youve chosen interesting subject matter, and with the exception of blown out white balences, these all seem like pretty good photos. if your interested in going even further with your photography, you should start saving up cash for a DSLR
  2. crap man, the most interesting bugs where i live are spiders and ants :wall: great shots. i love the bright vibrant colors, and the interesting subject matter. the red spots on the second moth lookin thing are awesome, and the sharpness of the first one is great too! ill discuss more tomorow, its 1:00 here and im about to pass out, just wanted to stop by and say that these are awesome   also, what gear are you using?
  3. well, if you were taking that same shot with a DSLR, id recomend a tripod, and turning the f/ up untill your shutter speed is about 1/100th of a second
  4. assuming your referring to the little demo, its a game thats coded by this guy holymonkey, and the image files are all stock .png images. the idea of the demo is that you replace his .png's with your own, so that you can use the demo in your portfolio when your looking for a job.
  5. i dont think the camera matters when you scale the picture that small  remember the rule of thirds: the horizon goes either one third of the way down from the top, or one third of the way up from the bottom
  6. actually, i wasnt intending for this to be funny at all :/ just a thread to dump my pixel doodles.
  7. i also do my shooting with my XSI, and i can say that its well worth the cash when your starting out. grab the stock 18-55 as well, make sure it has image stabilization. if you want to get a superzoom lense, go for the cannon 70-300 WITH IMAGE STABILIZATION. any lense you get should have IS. image stabilization just finds motion and corrects blurry lines. its only disadvantage is that if there is no motion, it can create it untentionally. the obvious fix is to just turn it off on your camera. duh. also, the 70-300 sigma AP0 DG i have is crap, DONT buy it. tl;dr: the best bet for an entry level photographer on a budget is... cannon rebel XSI cannon EFS 18-55mm cannon EFS 70-300mm cannon EFS 10-22mm
  8. Purples and blues work as undertones in digital artwork because not only are they cool, natural colors; but if you think of the color wheel in terms of luminance instead of hue, purples, blues, and greens are the darkest. next time your outside on a snowey day, take a good hard look at the snow. the shadows will be completely and totally purple, with not a hint of gray in sight
  9. make the pen lines thinner, prehaps
  10. 3 frames of win actually, its 6 frames lol in fact, i did :D also,

  14. MINOUTAR im about to start working on a big project today, so im going to use this thread as a log. mission: [hide=]Create custom graphics to a pre-coded skinable game (designed by Holy Monkey Studios http://holymonkeystudio.com/?page_id=12 ). from the website: Skinnable demos are tiny game mock-ups that give aspiring or pro game artists a great chance to strut their stuff. Its an executible file along with a folder full of imagesreplace the images with your own art and suddenly its your graphics in the demo! [/hide]
