  1. @ the first article, I'm with the third group. I play for fun. PKing mostly because it's the only thing in this game that's a challenge and you can do well at it by bringing the right gear, thinking about your stats, teamwork etc. I don't see bosses as a challange, maybe the first time but after that it just gets repetive. I've solo'ed all bosses except for the corporal beast on 99 combat, and found them all quite easy. I do certain things that I dislike effective to finish it as fast as possible. I hate Jagex for making new minigames/skills that aren't fun, and then still make people play it by giving them unrelated overpowered rewards. (pest control, dungeoneering, soul wars) Using that same logic, Jagex should also remove combat requirements and all hard monsters, because that requires lots of grinding combat and making money to buy good weapons and food that's no fun at all either. <_< "But wait," you reply, "combat is lots of fun!" Perhaps, but lots of people like skilling too and maybe don't like combat as much. Jagex isn't going to change the system just because you don't want to do skills. If you don't want to grind skills and can't find a fun way to level them, then don't level them so you can do quests. This is the whole point of Runescape: You're not required to do any particular thing to enjoy the game. People can like skilling, just don't make it required for quests. I like quests, but I don't like skilling. I would like to see alternatives for stat requirements in quests. For example "Blood runs deep" you need 75 attack and 75 strength because that's what you need for the balmung weapon. This weapon hits a lot on dagannoths and you need it to finish the boss monster of the quest. But I don't want to get 75 strength and attack. However I am 99 range and 98 magic. why doesn't Jagex just lets me try to finish off the boss without a balmung. Maybe it will make it a lot harder, maybe even impossible to do it with range and magic, who knows? It will be a challenge to try it anyway. Now Jagex doesn't even let me start the quest without the stats. I would like to see the assist system work in quests to do something that requires a high skill. Or like in monkey madness, people who can't finish the puzzle pay 200k. I do understand why Jagex makes these requirements with overpowered rewards. They think, if they bother getting their skills up, they use more member days and we make more money. However if I could just buy the dungeoneering weapons instead of having to earn them by dungeoneering, the dungeoneers would be rich and I would be able to have fun instead of doing things I don't like. Maybe at the next overpowered weapon you'll only be able to wear after a quest that requires 99 farming I'm not going to get it, and quit rs instead. But there's also other players that will quit rs if they run out of things to do, and I'm affraid theres more of those group then of my group. So Jagex chooses to keep that group busy and keeps adding high requirements to new quests.
  2. Alright thanks for the info guys really appreciate it.
  3. Hi, I'm doing most of my dungeoneering solo, because I'm 99 f2p combat and 108 p2p combat. If I go solo I get real low monsters so it's easy, and if I go with random teams they ussually are higher levels and I get to fight super high level monsters. Also I'm a range tank so I do everything with ranged and magic. Ranged and magic is not that good in dungeoneering so mostly at bosses and other monster I'm kinda useless to the team. I don't mind doing solo at al. I get rarely ever monsters over lvl 100 and thats easy to kill with 99 ranged. But I want the sagittare bow and arrows for optimal damage. Now I've had sagittare as a boss a few times and killed it with magic, and it always drops the low tier bows/arrows or range armour. I think it's because my low combat. My sagittare is only 96 combat, will it still be possible for it to drop sagittare arrows/bows? Or do I have to do some dungeons with higher levels? I've been with higher levels a couple of times and once we had a sagittare bow drop but they didn't gave me the bow. Then a high level said it drops the bows/arrows a lot so I didn't had to worry. If anyone has more information about the possible relation between boss levels and drop potential, please inform me :) Thanks.
  4. First article, sad but true. Second article, captain obvious.
  5. Why does the author thinks jagex focusses too much on pvp? Before the wildy got removed, there were NEVER pvp updates, you just had the wilderness. The only solution to fight rwt was randomised drops, and they should've implemented it in the old wild from the start. Jagex needs to fix the pvp rewards even more. Like: - Make pvp armour either untradeable and not degradable (only pro pkers can collect full sets) - Add godwars items to the worlds, just make it very rare drops. - Make the droprate for dragonfire shields and dragon full helmets lower - REMOVE the target system, it doesn't prevent people from RWT anymore and it's complete BS that i can get a dfs pk from an unskulled guy with no items. It's anoying because your target can PJ your fight etc. Then it would be perfect
  6. He chooses not to fight you anymore, so what. Hybridding with a team, fighting other teams is the most challenging aspect in this game. Since every aspect is allowed, praying/safing/summoning etc. It's up to you to tb/freeze/poision/switch combat styles to kill them anyways, no matter what they say.
  7. Haha lol, I'm looking forward to the upcoming "OH NOEZ THE ECONOMY CRASHES" articles because of the mass amount of junk loot that's being generated. And this time I don't have to think "omg why don't these people write things about how bad the pvp system really is".
  8. Nice guide with pictures, I solo'ed kree and kril on 96 combat though (it was a waste of cash on brews/restores but it's possible) I also have been to sara and bandos with teams. Maybe you'll want to add the spirit shields to your guide, I use my blessed spirit shield a lot, it has good defense bonusses and no -range bonus and a small prayer bonus. Much better than obby/granite shield. Ofcourse elisyan and spectral shield would be the best for the rich ones.
  9. No matter how scientific I look at fletching, it's still a waste of time unless you need it for a quest that gives a good reward. So unless you really want total xp or something (that's not really a scientific effective goal), all this calculations are a bit worthless since it's not really worth getting fletching higher than 70.
  10. Nice read, and I was thinking there would only be skilling guides in here. I tried some of these technique's in pvp. The safespotting technique today in pvp and it works quite well.
  11. Zamorak, because he simply owned Zaros...
  12. @ dragon cbow @ stormrage's thing Didn't read the article about swearing and warring fully. Clanwars in multi are mostly a waste since it's just about who has got most members with the highest stats/gear.
  13. Other then this one when it was 36m before pvp was out: http://leejjon.net/rs/dfhftw.png Didn't really ever have a "wow" feeling from dragon drops. When I had 2 d axes in a trip at dagannoth kings when they were 3.6m ea was like "nice", and getting 3 d skirts in a first steel dragon trip also appeared to be rare when doing some other trips and never got any more d skirts :P.
  14. I think we use pictures/vids to compare ourselves to others. The runescape highscores don't say anything about how good you are in the game. I'd even think you're dumb if you things like 99 firemaking because it's totally useless, not fun, and costly but that's not what this discussion is about. Things like show off your latest loot in pictures isn't enough anymore. It's fun to record your screen and show how you own your enemy's, put some nice edits, and your favourite song in it to make these things fun to watch. Then get yourself rated and get respected. Check out other peoples videos to compare your vid. Those things are a lot more impressive then experience points on some highscores that can probably be achieved faster by a bot.
  15. The first thing that has to be changed is that people can just drop all their stuff while being skulled and tbed. And come back and pick them up after they died. This is a way bigger problem than just teletubbies, they've always been there. Because before when people dropped items when they knew they were going to die the pker could pick up the drops before the died person could return. If you have a skilled clan, you can tb and kill people easily if you scout well.
