  1. Clouds / Sky looks spiffy, mountain looks good, but when it meets the ice, it doesn't fit, when i first saw it, i sat there waiting for the rest of the mountain to load, then realized that the abrupt cut off was ice \: The boy doesn't really fit in with the piece atm either. :P
  2. At first glance, it looks like its from a side view, at second, it looks as if it might be from a frontal view. If : Its a side view, thats a pretty screwed up neck :P Its a front view, make the body wider, its disproportional atm, the head is alright, although the curve from the horses head to his nose is a bit too inward imo, + the hair looks likes it been geled, make it flow :P
  3. Love the stuff you do, and i was wondering if you could make me a sig? seeing as your talking about trying out vector or surreal art, maybe you could make me one using that? just whatever floats your boat, could be your test run sig in that style of art. cheers, regardless. :P
  4. Well, with my assorted goods - that being some cheap 5 second animations, crappy effects, and trademark blind-you brightness, i present, my newest sig! Without further ado..
  5. At first glance, it looks pretty damn good, but when you compare it to the real pic, then you see some of the discrepancies and can start criticising it :P For your first go, that's pretty damn spiffy man, the mountain bit looks pretty dodgy though, and the clouds don't look like the ones in the picture? :P Looks like you have the same problem as i do when brushing, those jagged looking brushlines. \:
  6. The banner repeats itself, (i have a pretty high res), maybe try not setting it as a background, and instead just putting it on normally as a pic.
  7. Hard to explain, but, when you copy the landscape, you have the sole intent of copying it, but when you usually have someone who copies a stance or pose, they have the idea beforehand, just lack the skill in being able to draw it, so they search and copy something similiar. Close to ripping, but not quite, at least that's how i think of it. (:
  8. It depends on what type of picture your talking about, imo. In this case, he was attempting to get a proper pose of a person, by taking a picture of a person and tracing the lines, that i believe is just taking referencing one step further, i don't endorse it, nor do i believe it is 'wrong'. If he is copying a picture of a landscape for example, then i would find that wrong. It's just the essence of it, some might find it hard to draw say an arm of a person in a certain pose without aid, due to perspective/proportion issues. Imo, if you ever happen to question 'Is what i'm doing right or wrong?' - It usually turns out to be the wrong thing. If your really sitting on the fence, then message someone, ie a moderator.
  9. If you already know that it's so simple to make, and easy, then obviously your much too good for us to give advice to.
  10. Looks like those drag items have gone through Los Vegas. :P
  11. No one said you were an idiot, they're point is it's not very original and any one can do it. Generally speaking, ps filters then some text on top don't get very positive comments here, because of how generic and limited they are if you don't know how to use them.
  12. Dunno, change the sample colour? hard to spot out any details > therefore hard to give CC.
  13. too much generic abstracts floating around, most of the time its the same colours, so i wanted something new! :P how about now?
  14. hmm, try making it two colors instead of one? By that i dont mean making one side blue, and the other shift into some other color.
  15. If you drew everything on your own, that's pretty spiffy. :P
  16. wanted something nice and sofftt.. something ruffable, fluffy even! bright enough to blind you all yet again.. :P look down \/
  17. Um, er.. When you draw, think about perspective and proportion, the body is out of proportion, and the perspective is off as well, most noticeably of all the shield.
  18. Imo, its ripped. Hands/arms are generally the same, few pixels removed/added here and there, and a bit of hoping that that would dissuade any doubters.
  19. Pixel is mostly dependant on your already inherent ability to draw, that applies somewhat to airbrushing as well. Abstract-ish is mostly dependant on your, i.) knowledge of the program ii.) experience in using it (ie, if you wanted bright lights, your not going to magically learn how to do it, or the different techniques in doing it, in, say PS.) iii.) creativity!
  20. Said what i was about to, its a giving off a depressed feel with the current colours, but if that's what you wanted, you nailed it. :P
  21. Atm? The best (imo) artists off the top off my head, in no particular order.. DementedHero - If i remember correctly and you were uncovrd, branched out from your usual abstract sigs (granted witty did have to singe your [wagon] to do it) and tried some new stuff, which was good. Venomai - Good stuff, but, atm a bit like uncovrd in his early stages, most of the work is the same technique, but different compositions (good, but gets a bit repetitive). GSW - Generally speaking, always creates some new unique piece, against the current trend/styles floating around the forums, which is refreshing if anything. FrothKahn - Smooth stuff, nice brushing/colors, but sometimes the chicks don't fit in very well :P Nadril - IMPROVED, although, whether you should be on this list is still to be determined. (; ! I remember the ' it looks like a dragon ' sig in very many different colored versions. :P Witty burned you hard for that. ColAvanor - One of the better brushers, liked his ocean/aqua whatever its called series. :P Entangle - Good 3D modeling, probably one of the best 3d modellers in this forum at this time. The_Jeppoz - Good pixeler, natural drawer! Pretty good at manips, esp. the Gollum/your own face one. Probably missed a few, but.. meh. thats my opinion folks, later. Btw, this post wasn't meant to inflate any egos, if i see anyone high on ego, im going to pop your bubble. :P
