  1. See, I don't want to move out (though I could move in with my dad now if I really wanted to). My mom and stepdad do a good job taking care of me, it's just that they don't prioritize things in any sort of logical order. (i.e. they bought a 42" HD television when they could've hired an exterminator, fixed our lawn mower [our grass is 4-5 ft tall in places because we can't mow it], gotten me and my brother much needed dental attention, etc.) OT: I also have no steady source of income, so this could take a while. I'll be sure to mention it.
  2. Yeah, we've already gotten rid of the recliner (was more of a chair than a couch) but the roaches (they're German btw, for those wondering) had already moved to the rest of the house by that time. Right now I've been cleaning the house every day. It's cleaner now than it has been in the past three or so years, and I still have four rooms to go. I'm even making sure all the dishes get washed before I go to bed. I'm also saving my money to put toward an exterminator, since the parents don't seem to have any will to spend their money on one.
  3. We bombed the house four or five times already. It kills them alright, but not all of them. Enough are always left alive that they reproduce back to their old numbers pretty quickly.
  4. I've told my parents more than once that we need to hire an exterminator, and their response is always "okay" or "I know," but they won't do it. I don't understand why they won't, but it's their house, so I guess its their choice. I still wish there was some other way to get rid of the things. I think the only thing I could do now is clean the living room and keep the dishes in the kitchen cleaned, but my stepdad doesn't like me messing with his stuff (which covers a whole half of the living room). Any ideas on how to convince my parents to hire an exterminator?
  5. About a year ago, my aunt gave our family a recliner for our living room. Little did we know, living inside the old thing were roaches. As the days went on, we began to see more and more of them around the house, and soon they were everywhere. We've tried just about everything short of hiring an exterminator for the little pests. They're pretty much secluded to the kitchen and living room, and they live in the walls. I kill them whenever I see them and my fly swatter is in reach, but it doesn't help much. Any ideas on how to get rid of them for good?
  6. Ticks. Just got back from the woods a few minutes ago, first thing I did when I got into the light was check for them. I used to be scared of clowns. Now they just seem pedo-ish. Heights make me woozy, so I try to stay away from them. (I love climbing trees though!) Prolly some other stuff too, but I can't think of anything else atm. EDIT: Oh, and the slight chance that everyone I love could die at any instant and leave me here alone.
  7. Nice hair. thanks :twss: It's a little shorter than that now.
  8. Taken either in December '08 or early this year, dunno. Please make this my Picture A in the index. That other one is two years old. Thanks :
  9. No, msn and windows live accounts can end in anything. And [email protected] is online right now. If you can't get it to work, try updating your IM client. I have a feeling that that will fix your problem.
  10. The trade limit was one of the key components in my decision to stop playing. So yeah, it made my future a lot brighter and my life a lot better! And so you know: the trade limit itself isn't what made me quit. It's a long story. If you want to read it, you can find it here.
  11. From the perspective of a retired 80-something combat with 1333 total: 1. combat level: 95 2. total level: 1800 3. level in a skill: 85 4. Amount of Quest points: 250
  12. The only way I would be banned in the first place is if someone were to discover my password, and even then I wouldn't be mad or upset or anything. I'd want to know who did it and what they did (and why), but I probably wouldn't do anything about it. This is after saying in another thread that I wouldn't sell my account for less than $8000 USD. I couldn't sell it or give it away, but if someone took it from me I wouldn't care.
  13. I like Tip.it because of the community. I've been an active member of the chatroom here (on and off) for years, since chat-addict even. Most of you are friendly enough, and I consider some of you real friends. Dunno what that says about my social life.
  14. My account isn't that great. I quit playing rs indefinitely, so it's worthless to me. At the same time, though, it's priceless. I put so much into it. RuneScape was my LIFE for a few years. I'm glad to have given it up, but I still wouldn't trade my account for anything less than eight thousand USD. Yeah, I know that's extremely unreasonable. You get what you pay for I guess. Half of my childhood for $8000. And because my price would be so high, no one would ever buy it, thus making it practically priceless.
  15. Woo hoo! I've been wondering when this would happen. I don't play rs any more, but I can definitely see improvements along the way, for Tip.it and for RScript. =D> =D> And with this, I hope to become more active on the forums soon. I've been away for some time now.
  16. I hate ticks. They're all over the place here in Mississippi, and they scare the living crap out of me. I can't even go into my front yard without constantly checking myself for them. I also check my dogs (I have two of them) when they come inside. Ticks are about the only bugs that bother me, really. I had surgery on an ingrown toenail before. It was horrible. I wrote about it. Here's a link. Oh, this too. I can't stand that. Especially STDs and the circulatory system of the body. Another thing: IV's are especially bad, because it's like a foreign object entering a person's blood stream/body. Scares me stiff. Yet, flu shots never have bothered me much. Weird. I feel that every day. Sometimes I want to :wall: over stuff I didn't do when I had the chance. -hand
  17. Woah, how did I miss this? Congrats Peter, you deserve to be an admin. :twss:
  18. Ah well, top 2 million just accomodates more players. If you're already top 100k or something, it's not going to affect you, is it? I didn't see it either. #-o But I did know it would happen. This is almost like the 'Report a Bug > Skill > Hunter' thing, before Hunter was even released.
  19. edit: They actually did it. Sorry if this thread already exists, or if this is old news. I did search. I think Jagex is planning to lower the highscore rank limit to 2 million. Currently, you have to rank at least 1 millionth in a skill to be featured in the highscores. If you go to the official RuneScape highscore page, though, (under Community at http://runescape.com/) and Search by Name for a player who is not ranked in any skill, (I used 'Nonexistant.') you will see this message: "Nonexistant does not feature in the hiscores. You have to be in the top 2 million in a category and reach a skill level of 30 or the minigame's minimum score." Here's a picture (click to embiggen): Weird, huh? Discuss.
  20. You really should play CT, it's so much better than cross in every reguard. Chrono Cross had way too many characters, where as in Chrono Trigger it had a small amount but each was developed well. Honestly a lot of the memories for Chrono Trigger are well justified, as it is one of (if not the) best RPG's on a console to date. Between the battle system which was really ahead of its time (Multi-character moves and such) and one of the best storylines to grace an RPG, it's a great game. So much better than all of the Final Fantasy's out. Also there really shouldn't be a sequel to chrono trigger, I mean, they don't have anywhere to go with it. I completely agree with everything you just said, except for the Final Fantasy thing. I liked VII far more than any other game I have ever played. Before it was popular on the internet, even. But yeah, Chrono Trigger for the DS would be freaking awesome. I'll buy it if it happens.
  21. CamStudio is a great capturing tool. It is open source, and completely free. No logo, watermark, limits, or anything. It can export to both .AVI and Adobe Flash... .AVI is, of course, the better choice if you wish to share your videos. http://camstudio.org/ edit: Bigd56 beat me to this at the bottom of page two :P
  22. Also, a suggested item for the beginning of the guide: Ring of Life. It saved me about 100k when my health fell to 3 while fighting the Mistress. Item DB: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=1354
  23. Please add this to the Notes section at the bottom of http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=190 (Smoking Kills quest guide) If you have completed Spirits of the Elid, it helps to pray at the Elid Statue in Nardah just before fighting the Banshee Mistress. The shrine restores your prayer points, and raises your HP above it's maximum (although it goes down to normal with time).
