Autoer/macroer discussion- please post here!
I have recently reported 200+ autoers... It's astounding how many hang out around the yews at Draynor. Saturday seems to be the best time to hunt for them.

You Rage At It!!!
(is an anagram of) TAG! YOU ARE IT!! You must now add the link to this thread to your signature! You can link here by adding *Insert text here.* [img] *Insert image url here.* [img] Please post here to give credit to whoever tagged you. Confused? This is a game. A game for whoever wants to play. The purpose is to find fun and creative ways to get people to come to this thread. The basic way is put a link in your signature that leads to this thread, with more creative ways being to disguise the link as something else. Rules are, if you come here via a link, you have been tagged and are it. Once you're it, you can choose to stay it or not. Those who are it can 'tag' others by getting them to come here via a link in their signature or a link in one of their posts. Anyone, however, can try to tag anyone they want. Have some fun with it. Bonus points for creative and/or funny ways to tag people :D I've decided to keep track of tags. Halo_2_4_U: 2 run4runes: 1

Why Macros are HELPING the RS economy...
Why? Because it widens the gap between the rich and the poor, aka the old and the new (yeah i know huge sterotype but mostly true) and might deter new players when a rune scimmy is suddenly 9678k beacuse money is not worth as much. And btw, as history has told us, inflation leads to nasty revoltions, in our case ppl leaving and new ppl not coming in because of the huge financial gao between them and the people who have been here forever. Now if you actually tried thinking before posting you would notice it's exactly the opposite. Inflation means there keeps going more and more money into the economy. Because of that, money becomes less valueable (extreme example: in the past you could buy a nature rune for 300 gp, now you would pay 1500 gp, thus the money is worth less. ) Some rich guy has 100M gp in his bank. Suddenly inflation kicks in hard. In the past he could buy 333333 nature runes (300 each) for his 100M, but now he can only buy 66666 nature runes (1500 each) for his 100M, so he has become less rich. Now if there was deflation, that would be bad for the new players, since the 100M of the extreme example guy is worth more and the newbs will have a harder time getting such an amount of money. Sorry, but you just said the same thing he said, as far as what happens when inflation occurs. With inflation, everyone just becomes less rich, because you can get less for the same amount of money. All he said was it will be harder for new players to start off, because everything will be more expensive. If deflation occurs, (like now, because of macros,) newbs will have it easier because everything is so cheap. AKA think before posting =D>

Is Jagex doing SOMETHING about the autoing problem? 600+
Just last Saturday I found hundreds of macroers cutting yews between Lumbridge and Draynor on a free world. If that many macro accounts can make it past 60 WC, Jagex doesn't seem to be stepping up to the plate very well. I reported around 200 of 'em, resulting in five letters of recognition from Jagex. \ Mexicans? Why? Getting a little racy there. -.-

Is luring an acceptable practice?
All these people saying "Common sense" and other things are making me sick. Anyone who lures are taking advantage of their victim's trust, goodwill and "opportunity seeking eye" that oh so many REAL LIFE business owners have. Anyone rememer that Tipit times article? Pixels? This applies to both lurers and lurees. Are you suggesting that they need to lure in order to make money? You are right. Jagex customer support would be bogged down with even more headaches, but that is no reason to not make it against the rules. And 1seck0, you lure because you think it's funny, are incredably rude, and seem to enjoy spamming up the thread by posting several times in a row, . ~EDIT~ (Sorry, I was angry) Save the space you occupy for someone else worthy of calling themselves human. Also, learning english wouldn't hurt.

Does RuneScape Give a Benefitical Learning Experence?
The Runescape market, for example, functions the exact same way as any other market in real life. For example: Demand on runescape for yew logs increases (I.e. skill capers) Supply also increases, but not enough (same reason) Price goes up. to 350 each #-o The same thing happens with oil, iron, stocks, blah.... EDUCATION! NOOOO!

Is luring an acceptable practice?
Though I agree, I have to say, Guthan's set doesn't include a leaf spear. :XD: Just thought I would put that out there. Also, most people posting on this topic are likely people who support luring, or people who have been lured. The most likely cause for it seeming that there is enormous support for luring is because people who have never had any involvement with lureing/people who don't know what lureing is likely won't be interested in the topic. Tere are many kinds of luring, but here is the main one: When a player attempts to "lure" someone in the wilderness, or another dangerous area, with the intention of getting them killed, to take their items.

Is luring an acceptable practice?
This is by far one of the best posts I've read about this topic. Pretty much sums up everything that people complain about to people who lure. Great job. Also, to add to this post, I like to do something called "Lure killing." That's where you kill someone who is trying to lure you. For example, I brought a friend to help me kill a lurer and his friend who was trying to pk me. I went up, traded him, showed him my easter, and he showed me 20m. Just then, the pker runs down and barrages me. Well, I was prepared. I mad the pker teleport, (He had no food, and ice barrages ftw.) and my friend killed the lurer. Free 10m for each of us! Afterwords, The lurer was begging for the money back. I then told him "too bad, shouldn't have lured." \

Is luring an acceptable practice?
=D> Nice thread, very cool to find out that other people want to do things to people who lure that is too violent to describe on a forum. Luring is pathetic. It is also completely unacceptable. As a nature RCer, I see alot of people standing outside of Edgeville, who are obviously attepting to lure. I even see some people tell me to come in and trade them! Honestly! :wall: Anyways, people need to find a better way to Pk. Anybody remember back in the early days of RS, when PKing was sorta like a sport? With "unwritten rules" of sorts? You know, not run, teleport, etc.? Honestly, like I said, luring is pathetic. To any lurers out there, get a life. :boohoo: Edit: Te he, look at my post count/join date!
