RuneScape Information

  1. More of a lurker than a poster  Look at my joining-date. This guide has me post more posts than ever before on tip.it, great job . I also forgot the most important point to compare: which is the best in xp, both per hour on average and xp/gp on average (if that is even possible to find out).
  2. You could also compare the two slayer masters, which needs better equipment, which is most cannonable, which gives hardest monsters, which gives best drops, which is best for summoning, which costs most money, which requires higher defence/prayer.
  3. Not really, as this guide is a tactical one, not a walkthrough. It shows you how to use magic effectively, not to kill something or to wear armor.
  4. [hide=Mistakes] [/hide] [hide=Suggestions]- Add a list of recommended and unrecommended quests (Eyes of Glouphrie for warped beasts for example). - Add a comparison of various shields/armour setups (What totalpwnage said). - Add a list of task you recommend to block, because they are hard to range. - Add a list for Chaeldar, I know there are rangers out here who don't have 100 combat (yet), but still want to train slayer with ranged, me myself being one of them :)[/hide] [hide=I also have some questions]- Is an elysian spirit shield recommended for tasks you have to tank or monster that hit hard? Or is just to expensive? - Why do you wear an anti-dragonfire shield instead of the regular, chargeable, stronger one? Does the latter give a negative ranged offence bonus? - Wouldn't a dragonfire shield be better for tanking, a lot of boss-hunters use one after all? - Do you advise against using High Alchemy at all, or is it not that bad if you don't use Contact NPC?[/hide] I really recommend you do Legacy of Seergaze yourself, as I've heard the xp is way better and the quest itself is rather enjoyable. All in all, I absolutely love your guide. It is the first one I have ever seen about this subject.
  5. Great that is back alive  . I'll read through it again, for the fifth time  and tell you what can be improved.
  6. Regardless of the "f2p neds fr33 st00f pl0xz0rz"-debate (I do agree, but it is not like asking it this way will help), there should be no extra melee armour. Rune already has a way higher defence than any other armour in f2p, plus the fact that magic, its only weakness, is hardly ever used in f2p.
  7. This guide is simply put awesome =D> I never thought of using magic to make combo's. Great job on putting this together
  8. Great guide, might try soloing when my stats are high enough. One question though: aren't a unholy symbol + sara top better then holy symbol + zamorak top? The symbols give the same prayer bonus and the tops the same defence/ranged bonus. However, a unholy symbol gives +2 to ranged attack. Or is it no big difference and is the +2 defence better then a +2 attack?
  9. You might consider adding a required (smoking kills) and (un)recommended quests lists. Unrecommend in the way of quests that give you possible monsters as a task.
  10. Great guide, I've added both links to My Favourites . Simple and perfect, discusses just what it says it does =D>
  11. Dragon slayer doesn't give attack xp, it gives 13,5k xp in strength and defence :?. The only f2p quest giving attack xp is vampire slayer, which isn't needed for its quest points. On topic: I don't know much about stats. I would say get 40 defence, but that's because I don't like being hit much, which happens with 1 defence :P. Don't forget that you should do dragon slayer before 34 defence.
  12. I know of a way that one of my friends has used to gain 70 construction. What you need: - A house in rimmington. - Money in inventory (for butler+converting) - Hammer - Saw - Axe (no need to wield, as you dont need 25 inventory spaces. The demonic butler has only 20 spaces, others even lower. What you do: 1. Chop oak logs outside of your house. There are 2-3 very convenient oak trees located near your house. 2. Get inside your house and let your butler get planks. 3. Construct with your fresh planks. 4. Repeat 1-3. This is a good way to train, if you chop your own logs.
  13. I have an idea which you could put under tips. It is about training construction. Needed: - A few glorys (charged) or a glory on the wall. - A few law runes and air/earth runes. - An air/earth staff (depends on the runes you brought above). - Construction needs. What to do: 1. Wield your staff. Take your law and air runes in inventory. Take your construction needs with you. 2. Teleport to your house. Construct whatever you want. 3. Use your glory to teleport to Edgeville. 4. Bank 5. Repeat 1 - 4 I used this method as you construct. You can take 24 planks each run. I also did some research. Butler: At level 40 you can use the butler. He costs 5000 tho hire. One teleport costs about 375 at maximum. 350 for law runes and 25 for air runes. For 500 you can use 13 teleports. This is 312 planks. When using the butler you could only use 160 planks for the same price. Demon servant: At lvl 50 you can use the demon servant. He costs 10000 to hire. One teleport costs about 375 at maximum. 350 for law runes and 25 for air runes. For 10000 you could buy 26 teleports, which is 624 planks. While for the same price, you could only use 8 inventories with the demon butler, which is 192 planks.
  14. Is the mage training arena a good spot to train mage? Im planning to enchant a lot in the enchanting chamber, but is it a good spot? I will make and mine my own cosmics.
