  1. I think it was Madison who argues that states should have the right to suceed. Should the state be able to declare this if the Federal Gov't get's to powerful?
  2. I don't think you are. I'm pretty sure the national gaurd answers to the state legislative.
  3. Well, yes, technically, they are not laws until the president signs off on them.
  4. Don't you think the federal gov't has too much power already? If nullification ever came up wouldn't the gov't override their desicion if they decided to nullify laws? I may also like to point out the nullification crisis during Jackson's presidency. South Carolina was about to nullify a law and Jackson sent the Army down to SC to enforce it.
  5. yes but the final desicion is up to the legislative branch. If I recall correctly they can decide whether it is constitutional or not but they cannot override a law.
  6. I see your point, but please, no need to flame. I am simply gathering opinions.I,too, am conservative..and wish to see more power to the states. Keep in mind though, we were founded as a republic not a democracy. Regarding the post about violating the constitution. -The Judicial Branch has already violated that. The Judicial branch has no right to make laws. Recall, if you will, the law they made; No person under the age of 18 could be given the death penalty. If they can throw this out with no problem what is keeping them from throwing out the rest of Constitution?
  7. ok, good point. But what if the issue was decided by a group of states rather than just one state, if you follow me.
  8. According to the constitution defense of our country belongs to Government...specifically to the legislative branch, for they are the ones who raise and fund the army.
  9. Good lord, read original post. Explain why or why not.
  10. Now, that is a stupid question. If I had never looked at the constitution I probably wouldn't even know what state right's are.
  11. would you rather have a government that has more power? Why? Now, I am not saying that states should have that much power, I am just saying should states have the power that was originally granted to them by the constitution?
  12. Should states in the USA have the power to nullify federal laws? After all, in the beginning, the federal government existed because of the states and still does. So, should states have more power? Explain.
  13. I don't read Dan Brown either I just thought it was a cool sur-name. Wow..it sure has been a while since I last Played RS... So, this thread may be a year old but still..if there are any supporters..post here..and I'll see if I can scratch anything out of my barrel of crap.
  14. I find this whole alien thing to be very funny. I bet you anything it is just a ploy from the military. I also find it funny that most of these alien sightings are found close to Air/Military bases
  15. I do not hate america I love the country God has blessed me to live in. It is just that we were founded as a Christian nation. Look at how people dressed and what was tollerable back then..and look what it has "matured" into. Plus we have certain people in politics who want us out of Iraq! Well, that gives the terrorist what they want and it shows them that we are under weak leadership if we do not finish the job we started. Look at what happens when Nations look to negotiate will radicals that want our nation dead! How do you confront and talk with someone who utterly hates you? If we come under weak leadership after Bush, and pull our Soldiers out of Iraq I bet you there WILL be another terrorist attack on this nation. And The AMerican Empire will most likely fall into a period of "Dark Ages".
  16. i would have to the say the best way to make a lot of money and get your fletching, smithing, and crafting up( for me atleast) was investing my money into my kingdom. for best results you need atlest 750k I started this about a week and a half ago with 750k and thats its. now I have 3.2m...i get usually..about 4.3k flax, 3.1k maples, 31 birds nest..17 herb seeds...and 1.9k coal..so i am finding this really hellpful.
  17. Well, this brings up an interesting point. Most scholars believe it is on top of mnt. Arrat. The prbolem with this is that there is not just one mountain called arrat..it is a whole mountain chain. There have been stories of people actually seeing a boat shaped object up there. Whether it is the ark or not is up for debate. It is very cold up in those mountains and it is likely that the cold whether has delayed the decomposing time of the ancient ship. You ,of course, have heard of many cases where they find mummified people, almost perfectly perserved in ice...well..this can/will also apply to the ark.
  18. ..Coming from a person who has never studied theology? Or coming from someone who has studied it but has just rejected it?
  19. True..but if the earth where truely that old...would that not make the Sun too close to the earth for sustainable life? You see the sun shrinks every day..good couple of tons a day. Add all 4.5 billion years to that and it comes out as a massive star. And the Earth was a molten hunk of rock 4 billion years ago for a reason... Get over it, dude. The Earth isn't 6,000 years old, and it isn't 10,000 years old, or 20,000, or 40,000. It just isn't. Acctually...the earth wouldn'y be here. even if it was..how could life just "start"?
  20. True..but if the earth where truely that old...would that not make the Sun too close to the earth for sustainable life? You see the sun shrinks every day..good couple of tons a day. Add all 4.5 billion years to that and it comes out as a massive star.
  21. Stop pulling the ignorance card and accept the fact that people here actually know what they're talking about. hm. No. I won't because you DON'T. You are not Christians. Since you are not Christians you will not see the point in Christianity because you think it is stupid, illogical, mythical, load of cabbage. And according to your Writings that is true. Fine, let me use an example. How can you know what childbirth is truely like unless you are a woman? Yes, you can read up on it and learn everything there is to know about it. But in the end you can never experience child birth. So you can't know what it is truely like to have had that pain and agony. So as you can see, Christianity needs to be experienced before you can write it off as another religion? Don't believe me? Have you ever experienced The Holy Spirit-Yes or no just that. Have you ever been in a worshiop service and suddenly have had all your cares taken away-yes or no. Have you ever had a problem in life and when you go to scripture God seems to "open your eyes" and direct you to an answer to that problem-yes or no. If you do answer these..just put yes or no..none of this.."well...blah blah blah..".or "your wrong blah blah blah."
  22. *Sigh* Prove the book of Revalation is true. But do it in a different topic, because this has nothing to do with religion. And FYI, the Bible says nothing about the "Earth" ending. It'll still be here. I meant that in a differant context m8. In other words The world...or the evilness will be cleansed..but..,of course, you wouldn't know.
  23. Thanks to the stupid Supreme Court the kid cannot get the death penalty..
  24. Hmm DC rocks if you like Roman/greek architecture! This place is truely fascinating. Everytime I go there I think of free masonry and the Knights Templar...Dunno why just do...Being a history buff ma'self...it is always enteresting...tell them that if they don't get into history they will become ignorent, and stupid. Then they will vote Stupid people into office because they saw them on MTV...Then America as we know it will callapse because we became a stupid nation!! or..just say Tom Cruise will be there too...
