  1. Nope, I have only 5k ore :( I'll just get some smithing xp for them, I believe it's 5xp / ore.
  2. . Didn't I say 320m? It's probably around 350m if you count everything but I'm not going to do that :P I just realized that I forgot to price check the bones and ashes too but whatever He's referring to his bank lol I'm an idiot :(

  4. Bank pictures? Here's some bank pictures! I even decided to price check all of them this time - only approximately of course, I'm not going to check all the hundreds of items :D [hide] tab 1: junk (1m) tab 2: equipment (143m) tab 3: magic (12m) tab 4: food (4m) tab 5: crafting, mining, smithing, fletching (54m) tab 6: herblore & farming (36m) tab 7: clue scroll rewards (56m) [/hide] I also have 14.5m cash, so the total value of my bank is about 320m. That's about 100m more than I expected :o I forgot to price check the shards of armadyl and pure essence, they should be ~15m more.
  5. Vine whip is T75, but it says 80 because that's the slayer requirement. Anyway, this really is a huge problem at every single tier. You can't say that the combat styles are equal to each other when the equipment for melee is generally much more expensive than the range or magic equivalents. I think that the main problem here is one mistake that Jagex repeats every single time they release new high-level equipment - that's the new items are the endgame equipment and will forever be the best. It's unbelievable how many times they've done the same mistake in 12 years. 2001: Here are the new rune weapons! They're the best weapons in the game, and you can only smith them at 85+ smithing. 2002: Here are new dragon weapons... but screw smithing, just do a few quests and buy them from a shop. 2003: The dragon sq shield is out! You need to complete the hardest quest in the game and get an ultra-rare drop to make one. 2004: Dragon chainbody - the best armor ever! You can get it from this new super strong monster. 2005: Dragon armor? Meh, here are four new sets of BARROWS armor that are much easier to obtain. Oh, dragon sq's still the best shield? No more, here's a new tkozt-xlit-lzikt that gives STRENGTH BONUS and is easier to get. And why would anyone use a dragon scimmy when you can use the new super sausages that you can only get after killing cave crawlers for 300 hours. 2006: lol ppl still use shields? Get these defenders instead, they're totally better. 2007: You still want shields? Just nail a dragon's face on an antidragon shield and you'll get more bonuses! Oh and here's a dragon full helm too, but we made it the rarest drop in the game from these new strong dragons to make sure it's useless for combat. And don't forget the new godswords, this armadyl sword one-hits ANYTHING! 2008: More shields! These new ones REDUCE DAMAGE and they're a super rare drop from this new strong boss. And these new claws instakill anything in case you don't like the godswords. 2009: You can now imbue your rings by playing this boring minigame for nine million hours! That +4 str! 2010: These CHAOTIC weapons are awesome! To get one you need to kill thousands of ass-weaver thuzlohzaks and gul'dul the hammerers, but they're totally worth it! And so on. The point is that as someone else already said in this thread (or maybe it was another thread, whatever), Jagex never leaves any room for expansion. This was excusable back in 2001 because I doubt Andrew knew how large the game would eventually become, but by the the end of RS Classic they should've realized that Runescape wouldn't die anytime soon. Thanks to special attacks even level 60 weapons were completely broken, and chaotics were insanely strong even without special attacks. While this problem is now solved, we're still left with dozens of items that are far too difficult to get for their level. This is mostly a melee problem (almost all dragon items, fire cape/tokhaar-kal, abyssal (vine) whip...) but there are plenty of magic (mystic (compare to batwing), grifolic) and range (seercull, dark bow) items that have the same flaw. Another problem is that there are plenty of items that have no use whatsoever. What's the point of warhammers when maces do the same damage but have prayer bonus too? Why use a crystal shield that is in every way inferior to the ward of subjugation? The only way to really solve this problem is to re-design all the equipment, but that's very hard to do at this point without breaking the whole game. The current system is a cluster[bleep] where nothing makes any sense. Dragon items require a million different quests unlike most of the other equipment, middle-level rune armor requires higher smithing levels than tetsu which is the strongest armor in the game, high-level range weapons are almost free, low-level armor that doesn't protect you from anything stronger than a cow lasts forever but super-strong ancient armors from the third age that make you nearly invincible only last 10 hours (not to mention that you can repair them with coins), high-level bosses like KQ drop level 60 items and despite there being plenty of level 80 equipment (the oldest being released three years ago) only a few monsters actually require them. What a mess.
  6. I went to Kree'arra to hunt for elite clues but only got a pair of boots :(
  7. So I got my second piece of port armor today :) I went to Zilyana to test it out and got my first good drop since the GWD update. It's so ridiculous I can't really believe it myself, but it was yet another whisper. I actually had to check my bank to see how many I have now because I lost count. It's the fifth one.
  8. Correct. I'm not going to list all the changes, especially because they already did another update to fix some of the problems that the first update caused. I have no idea about anything now.
  9. Nope. I could try them if I can find someone to open the doors though :)
  10. I forgot to mention another glitch that I found - minions disappear (leaving no drops) if don't kill them fast enough. This affects at least Bandos and Armadyl, no matter if they're instanced or not.
  11. How much longer till you next piece of sea singers? Two more successful voyages for the bottom, but getting a chi voyage requires luck :/
  12. I have now tried all four (non-hard mode) GWD bosses after today's update and the results are: Graardor is pretty much the same as before Kree'arra is very easy now Zilyana is harder than before, but not impossible I can't kill K'ril at all because of his new attack. I think I'll continue killing Zilyana until I get a hilt, but after that I'll switch to Kree/Graardor.
  13. K'ril's "slam through protection prayer" attack hits even if you don't use one. What? It hits about 1.5k every time and it's typeless, which means that K'ril is much harder than before. And yes, even the normal mode K'ril does this.
  14. I killed Graardor for one hour and got nothing :( It was normal mode though, I tried hard mode too but it seems to be impossible at least with my gear. Oh, and another thing - I decided to stop DIY'ing on Old School servers. I don't even play OS that often and DIYing two games is too much work IMO. Of course I'm going to continue DIYing on the main game :)
  15. I don't really need the mage amulet because it's worse than arcane stream, but it would still look nice in my bank :P Still waiting for a hilt too.
  16. I wonder if I'll ever get any amulets other than whispers from Saradomin, this is the fourth whisper already :/
  17. I went to DKs again, here's the loot from about three hours and 131 kills: Again I did collect the bones (except the three that you can see here obviously) which would've been ~1.5m more. It looks like DKs are about 1.5m/hr if you don't collect the bones and 2m/hr if you do, which is not that bad for an easy boss. You also don't need as much luck as you need for most other bosses, the unique drops are quite common and you can make plenty of money from just the bones and Prime's talismans. The archers' ring and mud staff also finished my DKs drop collection :) I don't think I'll go back there soon, especially because instanced GWD will come out next week. The BTS video says it costs 200k/hr, which is less than I expected. You can probably get 200k/hr by just collecting all the coin drops :P
  18. There's a glitch in the new interface alpha which allows you to equip any item in any slot. It's pretty fun to kill bosses with tons of weapons equipped :D
  19. The new interface alpha has a huge minimap which allows you to see quite far away. Here you can see Waterbirth dungeon from Pyramid Plunder. Could someone check if you can actually see the dungeon in HTML5 beta (it doesn't work for me) with the increased draw distance? This is the sixth room of Pyramid Plunder so you need 71 thieving (possibly less if the draw distance is large enough).
