IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO READ AT LEAST 1000 words, SKIP THIS IMMIDIATELY..also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT FLAME ME WITHOUT FINISHING THE ENTIRE POST THOROUGHLY...!! THANK YOU AND ENJOY READING!! i took quite a while... Firstly, yes the Cb triangle is like a bridge with butter sticks for pillars under a hot sun. In the start, the triangle was good.. melee>range>mage>melee. then with ancients it became Mage>Melee/range dds is capable of hitting 72s(36-36)..not sure if can go higher but i have hit 36-1 before so i know it can hit 36. then people were saying, mage/melee> range dharok can 1hit but is VERY slow and VERY risky.. at 99 hp..10% would be 9hp..9hp can be a lucky fluke hit..and can be dds'd. Guthan sucks on PVP Verac is expensive and good vs armoured people only.. dhide/mage robes are as good as no defence.. so verac is no better than a whip. torags is for the "poorer" pkers.. full torags, dscim/whip and rune kite.pretty much self explanatory. then... the msb got nerfed...only 1 spec..have to wait for a minute or so before u can spec a 2nd time..with 99 str 99 att 45 defence, and 99 range 90 def...by 1min...the pk could be over. everyone was ranting, saying range was WAAY underpowered..i agree.. in EVERY other skill... Melee : barrows armour > 3rd age> dragon> rune. Mage: Ahrim(barrows) > 3rd age > mystic/lunar> split. Range...: 3rd age = Karil = Black dhide. all of them are +15 range bonus for TOP.. karils has WORSE stats than black dhide for melee..... c'mon... NO MELEE barrows has worse stats than dragon chain... dharoks platebody/guthan/torag has an avg of 120 defence...and dchain has SLIGHTLY better stats than rune..with a worse stab def..EVEN VERACs is better than rune/dragon. true, dragon is a "status" and "looks" armour.. 3rd age respectively has slightly worse stats than barrows, with 110+ per stat for defence...but as a plus has no need for repairing,, however even now the kite costs 160M.. useless for pking.. Now...range.. KARILS melee has WORSE stats than black dhide.. 3rd age has Some better stats than karil and worse or same as black dhide. it should be KARIL>3rd age> Black dhide with respectively 70,65 and 40 defence.. HOW can, black dhide..with 40 defence have BETTER stats than karils with 70 DEFENCE requirement..is that 30 defence and 10 levels really worth for that slight extra mage def bonus? i think not.. for mage and melee, it is UNmistable the order of armour Barrows>3rd age> regulars(dragon or rune) and Barrows>3rd age> regulars(mystic/split) for range? they are more or less equal...and karils Is ARGUABLY weaker than black dragonhide. ahrim is considered the BEST mage armour..most people in cws or pking wear an amAZING combination of ahrim, whip, prayer book..ancient and melee. now..melee is self explainatory..no barrows set works in there.. however..range..in order to melee, has to change weapon... losing a vital hit.... i think i have proven that before 11-Jun-2007, range was underpowered... with the crystal bow same speed as a long bow..with NO special but at full a great 100 bonus to range.. however... on the 11th June 2007, the darkbow was introduced..this monster was capable of 1hitting ANY player with 90Hp or below.. it has shown a whopping ability to 44-44... rumour even has it that a 46 was accomplished.. at FULL Hp, and nearly off the map(dark bow has an AMAZING range)... with only a mere 60range requirement, the darkbow is a waay overpowered weapon..... however.. this is the speed of the darkbow.. assuming BOTH the msb and darkbow attack at same time.. this is it MSB: 12 3 4 5 6 7 8 Dbow: 12 2 3 which gives the darkbow the SAME speed as a 2h or Dh Gaxe.. rumour has it that its SLOWER and ur kill can be STOLEN if using a darkbow..thats VERY slow...however, i dont see it... looks the same as gaxe to me.. i have PERSONALLY never seen kills getting stolen using the bow...muggiwhiplar has said that...i have Never seen it..i'll send a message to jagex to confirm this although slow, This Is UNFAIR.. dharok has to risk getting easily killed with 9hp or less to hit a 76... while a darkbow.. at full Hp..before a meleer can reach can already hit a whopping 90.. and 20s with a normal hit.. and for 60 range? i think tht it is WAAY overpowered.. my solution? nerfing it(DONT FLAME YET..) increase its speed to slightly faster than a LONGBOW... but with a LOWER maxed hit.... giving around 80-85 ranged bonus instead of a 95.. or else, increase it's requirement to 75 or 80 ranged. why? it is same speed as a 2h or greataxe..yet hits WAYY over a greataxes max with 1hp.. and yet the darkbow enables u to be FULL HP to hit a 90...however, as all these "maxes" have been done with the opponent defenceless(not wearing armour), it may not be able to hit a 45-45 with FULL torag, Crystal shield/obsidian shield with a whip.... and still may yet be unable to match a dds 4spec.. 33-33(66) 33-33(66) 33-33(66) 33-33(66) which adds up to over 260HP in less than 10 seconds... this IS possible as karils defence is Waay to low to defend anything.. even if 2 specs TOTALLY miss, its still 130+ dmg... lets compare the speed of a dds to dark bow shall we? dds: 12 34 56 78 dbow: 12 3 4 thus it may be able to overpower the darkbow.. and hence..the dark bow is NOT as prestigious as it suggests.. also, i am comparing dark bow to MELEE as melee is MEANT to win against a range..and darkbow will definetly own a mage as range>mage...haha.. OVERALL ------------------- its time for me to end off.. this is ONLY a game.. jagex may choose to nerf it or not. whether they do, the point of a game is to have FUN!.. not to rant over an overpowered weapon.. if worst comes to worst, just stop pking...or own the [cabbage] outta those darkbowers with your ownage dds specs....hehe no offense.. i think that i AM a suitable person to do this comparison without being TOO bias to either style as i LOVE Both melee AND range.. if u ask me..ur only 74 ranged and yet 95 str and u say u love ranged? just for the record....i was a ranged pure before i became melee based...but thats not the point.. anyway i hope you enjoyed reading this...and if u didnt..u missed out a whole sum :P no fear.. and HAVE FUN!! remember runescape is JUST a game!!
