Oh Catahpracts are both archers and lancer, I just realized. So I no longer have a need for Horse Archers, unless I want a cheaper unit. So money going into those now goes to more Cataphracts, bringing the total up to 3500 Cataphracts.

2.5m of last decade goes into horse breeding, purchasing, and improving. 1.25 into infrastructure, 1.25 into economy.5m purchases 7100 cavalry archers. How does equipment work?

Alright, here's a bit more backstory for my people: During the Alien Occupation of the planet, the surviving humans often had to resort to genetic modification to ensure the survival of the race. Each individual would live longer lifespans (though not absurdly long), be more resistant to disease and biological warfare, be immune or highly resistant to psionics, an be stronger and more agile with greater reaction time. Other than that, they're human. The only way to recognize them from normal humans (most of the time) is that through some genetic fluke, they all have green eyes. Downside: Smaller population due to their recent arrival on a new planet (within the past century), so their population is under 1 billion (I assume most people's populations are much larger) Some starting techs: Genetic Modification, anti-psionic technology, Advanced HPEMS/EMP technology, City-Ships, FTL.

Actually, I'll make them more interesting, probably non human. Give me a little bit.

Post-Tefarrs Summary: Used to be humans, living in the tefarn system, for several thousand years after the fall of Earth etc. Hostile alien force of unknown origin invades, using highly advanced psionic warfare. 95% of the Teffar people are almost instantly wiped out, only the ones who have high restitances to psionics survive, and avoid detection. Over the next 50 or so generations, the only teffars still alive are full immune to psionics, but unable to use any psionics themselves. Around 50,000 Teffars manage to escape the alien occupied planet in a single City-Ship, The survivors are put into a state of cryogenic sleep for close to a century while the ship continued on auto-pilot at speeds many times faster than light. The ship finally arrived at a suitable planet, and life continued for the Post Teffar people, with their capital based around the now landed City-Ship. However, fearing being invaded again by pursuing aliens, much of their future infrastructure was built into further city ships, that would be able to leave the ground and carry much of the Teffar population with them.

Europeans got Gunpowder roughly the same time the Mongols did, if I recall.

They didn't get gunpowder till almost the end of the middle ages. And if I recall, they never really used gunpowder for cannons etc.

The only troops you've ever mentioned were the 10,000 peasants you sent off to die in Spain. I know but everyone does that. But I'm investing the most, and I'm purposely breeding the most. So not everyone does that. A good chunk of my budget is going to this.

Dusty, we're investing more into finding the best horses, and breeding more horses overall, thus having more to choose from.

Byzantium beings selectively breeding the finest horses in the land, and in a few decades will have superior horses, which will be for sale. Until then, we being breeding as many horses as we can sustain, and putting half of them up for sale.
