  1. You're spending 2.5 trillion developing cars?
  2. How about we say that the IAG is based off of gdp/person instead of gdp. Because, the current system is: if you start with 10 million people, and a 10 billion gdp, invest a bunch into infrastructure, but by the end you have 12 million people, but only a 10.2b gdp or equivalent. With my system the gdp/capita would be increased, so you get 12 240 000 000 for your IAG at the end. One thing I don't like about this system is that the current world powers have an unbeatable advantage to start.
  3. So at most you have a .2% growth rate. That's kinda dumb. Not especially. Infrastructure of 3=3%, 4=4%...ect, ect....up to 100%. Wouldn't population increase much faster than all this? Meaning that everyone is guaranteed a worse life in the future?
  4. So at most you have a .2% growth rate. That's kinda dumb, seeing as population would grow by a minimum of 15% probably during the 10 years.
  5. Well, if you want to go against me trying to annex countries, feel free.
  6. Nope, you'll have a hard time stoping armoured vehicles with a M16, while only one bullet is needed with the Beowulf's .50s. Assault rifle. Different than an anti vehicle rifle. Ok hex, have you ever fired a gun? Ever heard of recoil? Why don't all soldiers just carry fully auto Barret m82's into combat then? This is a 60 cal. Can you see why you're being [developmentally delayed]ed now?
  7. Just saying, I've had to cut down small trees with machetes, and it is not easy. But it is fun.
  8. Eh, my only point is that using .600 for a rifle is [developmentally delayed]ed. Anything above 7.62x51 for an assault rifle is absurd.
  9. And length is what matters. a .45acp is not the same as a .45 s and w.
  10. Magnum is a type of round, not a type of gun. A beowulf is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Beowulf_Cartridges.JPG And yeah, I got that mixed up. There are a lot of 7.62x X bullets so I got it mixed up. And the round you meant for the AK is a 7.62x39
  11. Of course it can work. It's just completely [bleep]ing pointless. It's just gonna kill anyone who tries to fire more than a round every 5 minutes.
  12. .50ae is the highest caliber round used by the deagle. I think it's used in the beowulf too. The bmg is used in the most powerful barret rifles, as well as the m2 machine gun. .45 acp is a small handgun round, used in the colt 1911 for example. 7.62x52 is for the m14, m60, scar H etc. .38 special is basically the same as a .357 for revolvers. .44 is a revolver round aswell. .50s&w is a bit larger revolver round than the .44. .40 s&w is also a revolver round. .308 is the civilian version of the 7.62x52. But you are right about vests. A perfect vest might stop one pretty high powered bullet, but after that you're dead.
  13. Wow. .60 cals are used for hunting elephants. And their extremely rare. .50 cal doesn't mean [cabbage]. A .50 bmg is about 5 times longer than a .50 ae.
  14. Pop quiz, which is larger, .45 acp or .38 special? .50ae or 7.62x52? .45 acp or .44? .308 or .40? .40 or even a 5.56, .50s&w or .50bmg. .40 is a handgun round. I hate when people think that all "50 cal" bullets are the same. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/84/Rifle_cartridge_comparison_w_scale.png/300px-Rifle_cartridge_comparison_w_scale.png. A .40 is about twice the size in width as the one on the far right, and a tiny bit taller.
  15. In other news, all of Hex's troops die from having shattered shoulders. Also, guns take time to design, not just a crude combination of various gun parts from a random website. Also, bigger caliber=/=better. For example, in Vietnam, Troops started with fully automatic m14's. m14s are 7,62x52, and the recoil made it impossible to fire them accurately on full ammo. All future, and most current m14's were welded so it could only be used on semi. There's a reason why we don't use combat rifles anymore, and all standard US rifles are 5.56x45.
  16. Note: Everything that I say now will take effect whenever the game really starts. The Brazilian government announces it's ten year plan for the future. First, the newest president has shown a large interest in nanofiber technology, and is investing over 5 billion a year into building labs for that at colleges, and for research in general. On a similar note, 25 billion over a 5 year period is going into building genetics labs at colleges, in order to complete the human genome project, and figuring out what every gene does. Hydrogen fuel cells for cars and industrial purposes are being looked into, as is advancing nuclear power, and building several nuclear plants across the country. Finally, the government has announced it's plans for a unified Latin America, to advance as a real power in the world without being stepped on by the more powerful North American, Asian and European countries. Also, all infrastructural growth is being put on hold temporarily.
  17. Brazil. So we all have US technology? Then most "third world" countries should get a huge IAG boost. I'll do a write up of my plans later. Ok for a start, Nanotubes and nanofibers, mass production of them, making longer strings, making them more economic to create. This will be given a 5b/yr budget. Second, research into hydrogen fuel cells, way s to produce hydrogen easier, etc. 3 b/yr Thirdly, all 850 ish colleges and universities will be given grants for genetics labs, for completing the human genome project. Each college will get around an average 30 million each over 5 years. Finally, 10b/yr into various nuclear power applications, including efficiency, better waste disposal/uses for waste, new nuclear tech, and weaponry. Huge taxes will be imposed on foreign companies that are exploiting the Amazon, forcing them out over a few years, and giving us some bonus money. Annexation has also begun for Bolovia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Columbia, Venezuela, Panama, Guyana, Suriname, French Guinea, and Panama. This costs around 500 billion over 10 years. So in total, I'm spending 700b on projects and annexation. Keeping 200b for safety, and the remaining 700 goes into infrastructure.
  18. I guess I'll be original and take Brazil.
  19. I wasn't suggesting we do that. The game's essentially worked every time we've played it, so lets leave countries as they are. Maybe for Annexation we change the price from 50b to something like 1-5k per person. So a country with a million people would be easier to take than a country with 700 million.
  20. Plus the overwhelming majority of Russia's population is focused in the west, and a large percentage of it is just tundra or forests. Taking South America as a single country would be way fairer than Africa, or even taking all of the Americas, as the total population is less. Some countries in Africa are larger than any in Europe (I think) with the exception of Russia. Sure, there are some smaller countries, but there are also a bunch of big ones. Your logic-> I'm taking Europe, because there are some tiny countries that could be scooped up anyway.
  21. Neither will most bullets then.
  22. I've used one of those slingshots. They're rather powerful.
  23. This is [developmentally delayed]ed. Ok, logic is not sitting for a few hours and thinking of stuff. Logic is thinking, for example: I'll kill way more zombies, without attracting more, and conserving more ammunition using a semi over a lmg. In that situation, seeing as there really would be no way out through the door, logic would dictate that you investigate the sound, because it's either that or die.
  24. Trust me, living in a cave with no daylight and a tiny hand powered flashlight will drive you crazy. And fire will fill it with smoke and then you're dead. Also, no source of water or food.
