Ever heard of diesel? Most trains aren't electric. And an unused service tunnel would suck. Lights won't work without electricity y'no.
-
Well one nice thing of sticking with current countries is that there are easily findable stats for everything. Just magically putting everyone at US level would mess that up.

Starting from nothing isn't fun. Personally I'd rather not have hunter gatherers for the first 3.98 million days of the game. Just start like a normal Hegemony, and maybe have it so people can get compensation for starting with smaller countries, like either: They get to pick a fair technology to be insta researched, or they get a few extra countries. Like, someone could pick central America, for example, as their starter. Or just play the same way we always do.

Race: Human Planet: Earthlike, or Aquatic (with atleast 5-10% land) in Chi Gamma Any other info: I'll fill out a history at some point Planet Name: Nadial Empire Name: Brazilian Empire

I think starting on Earth a third time might be a bit much. Spending the first month sorting out a country's issues AGAIN might get a bit old.

For what it's worth, we are all planning for a zombie apocalypse. Some sort of rage virus type thing is probably more plausible than shambling Romeros. It couldn't hurt to atleast have a plan for them.
-
Good luck getting firewood. Or food. And yeah, it is. And it's a virus.
-
You'll be dead long before them.

Oh, and if it was in mainland Europe or North america, it would probably spread to the other continent eventually. EX: Businessman is hurrying to catch a flight, in NYC. Crazy homeless man bites him, he is worried but doesn't have time to deal with it. He get's on the plane, 12 hours later he's in Paris. He checks into his hotel. Next morning, he's a zombie.

Most boats are older. Ok, one, stop calling it an Automatic Kalashnikov (correct spelling). For one, it stands for Avtomat Kalashnikova. Two, call it an AK. If I'm talking about an M16, I'm not going to call it a model 16. Also, where do you plan on getting a full auto Ak-47? And, you really think that no one with pull a gun or weapon on you? I doubt you've ever fired a weapon, and if you have, definitely not an automatic one. It would take you way more than 30 rounds, and you'd have to reload, even if you were only shooting at 6 people. Plus, in apocalypse, someone would pull a gun on you and you're dead. Oh, Rocco, I went to the gun store the other day. They have 1000x boxes of .223, 7.62x39, 7.62x52, 9mm and .22. So if you're lucky you can find a lot of ammo.
-
Plus, stealing a boat is a bit harder than you think. Everyone thinks, oh I'll just hotwire it. Yeah, I guarantee most people don't know how. Now ensue the large flood of people saying that they actually do know how.

Slashing weapons generally suck for zombies. The best ones are the heavier ones, or the ones with thicker blades, such as a Machete. I have three machetes in my house, and I'd say their pretty good. Sure, reach is limited compared to larger edged weapons, but they pack a punch, are durable, and light.

Crowbars are pretty good, It's way easier to smash a skull than to pierce one. And 2 or 3 feet of range is enough, much more and the recovery time goes through the roof, as well as accuracy with the weapon. Mather, how's that oneitis treating you. I would bet just about anything, if you're not actually going out with her (which I don't think you are), that you don't "love" her. Infatuation =/= love.

I'd risk my life to save some of my friends. Living alone in a fortress would blow.
-
Well, following the rules that 10,000 time thing is physically impossible. But that game's long over. And yeah, I guess, but maybe have penalties for bombardment mean that it's inhabitable for X years, and also you get a penalty in terms of your civilians not liking you wiping entire races out.

Uhh, I got behind on what was happening, and I forget. I'm kinda busy now though.

I say if we use a train, we need to use old timey guns. 30 aught 30's, peacekeepers, winchesters for all.
-
That's good too, assuming that the trains go near there. Also, if you're real lucky, you might be able to get a fuel train, extending how far you can go by a huuuge amount.
-
How do you plan to do that? And I highly doubt the stores would feed 400 people for months.
-
Oh, and mather, there is no way you would be able to get all the supplies out, and to the building. Also, everyone else is gonna want supplies. You'll be lucky to get a few weeks supplies.
-
Another option similar to trains, with a bit more risk, but more maneuverability would be Semi trucks. Go to a place that sells them, siphon the diesel out of all the trucks except for two. Put into barrels etc. Load the barrels into one of the trucks, load all your supplies into the other. Then just drive on the highways. There's a pretty low chance of the entire highway being blocked, and moving cars would be possible if you had enough people. Or, just go siphon all the gas out of the trucks, and bring it to a train so you have enough to go for even longer, to work with the Train idea.
-
How's that better? You're stuck in one place. Here's what I would do to the trains as soon as I could. Put hatches on the roofs, (with locks on them) so that way if the train is surrounded by zombies, we can go from one car to another without being at risk. Fortify the windows. With a train, you're safe from zombies, can move to get more food, and also, if civilized settlements ever pop op, you could make a killing by trading valuable supplies. Another thing you could do is: Go to an isolated area of the track, with fields around you, and plant a lot of crops (obviously done over a longish period of time). Then, stay there as long as you need, and if zombies come, you can slowly move the train away, having the zombies follow you, and then go back to the field at full speed, and then all the zombies can't keep up and lose your scent.
-
Well, moving 100k troops in a year isn't that hard, the US put 300k troops in Iraq in a short period of time.
-
I took some trains last time I was in England, and they were similar enough to here. Their fairly uncomplicated nowadays too, so driving them isn't that big an issue. Back in the world war's era they had armored trains with lots of guns and all, eventually you could modify a train to that level.

I meant the most recent one. And everyone seemed to forget that I existed at the end of that one. I still had the biggest fleet by far, it just wasn't anywhere near Earth.
