That rule never existed in Hegemony V1, so no. All I'm doing with Canada and the UK is providing random news in order to show that they are still legitimately operating in the game so people aren't saying that it is having no technological advancements and is a wasteland. I know more about the two countries, so it's easier for me to do so. It sounds more realistic than that system anyway. On an unrelated note, the game year should be 2011.

I will largely be in control of the US, but I might talk a little bit about events that have happened in the two countries recently. I figured that Ross could do something similar with New Zealand so it isn't randomly gobbled up by Japan or whatever. ------------------------------------------------ Anyway, Prime Minister Nick Griffin and President Wright (as well as the Canadian prime minister) are having a private conference about how to reassert the British Empire (with the United States working as its equal and close partner). Oh, and Queen Elizabeth II died. King William V has taken the Throne, the Prince of Wales.

The Aryans have successfully entered our universe and are in Local Space. All Terran airwaves (and indeed the airwaves of the entire Local Area) are flooded with the march known as Viktoria Sieg Heil.

Graviton communication research has had success. We were able to communicate with one of the many alternate universes, one of which was able to communicate with us. This is a human civilization existing on a planet surprisingly similar to Earth. They describe themselves as "an advanced Aryan race residing on Terra". From what we can tell, their society is similar to the Terran Federation that was formed after almost a 1000 year Reich under the command of a fascist dictator; an intellectual revolution saw the Reich as 'vain' and destroyed the entire empire in order to form their new society. They are generally peaceful due to the fact that they outgrew human vs. human conflict, but they have a large military that protects the human race. Technology-wise, they obviously have graviton communication technology, among many more advanced technology. As a solution to human overpopulation, they have terraformed many planets in their solar system, with Terra being the home world. They also have psionics and weapons that can only be used with their unique genetic signatures, which were created during the Reich as part of a large-scale genetic engineering program in order to 'convert inferior races into Aryans'. ---------------------- They were delighted to hear about our alternate history and were surprised when we told them that in our history, the Reich failed and was crushed by the Allies. They also told us that the Englisc (what they call the British Empire) had a different history from that of our England due to the fact that the Normans lost the Battle of Hastings, allowing Anglo-Saxon influence to prevail throughout English history. The Englisc Empire was formed after the English invaded the Scots, Welsh, and Irish and subjugated them to Anglo-Saxon culture (this was an alternative to the Acts of Union in our history). The Englisc Empire expanded throughout the globe after the Anglo-Saxon conquest of France. The Englisc Empire fell after being invaded by a nation equivalent to Germany, which they simply call 'The Reich'. ------------------------- From what we can tell, this parallel universe was created simultaneously with ours. There are minor differences in the laws of physics, but for the most part, it is just an alternative history of our universe.

Brython Research Centre has been completed. The LCS Cloud Nine is making its maiden voyage to New Eden, where it will drop passengers off to the beautiful port city of Castledown. One of the main attractions are the lush forests and the crater lakes that dot the area known as Eve.

You're sure that ethnic Ukrainians outnumber Germans? I've only met one ethnic Ukrainian (that said she was anyway) in my entire life. On the other hand, I've met loads of ethnic Germans as well as ethnic Irish. What part of the US do you live in? Central Arkansas. I will concede that it has a high Celt population, though. I've seen a lot of Germans in the Mid-West and where I live.

It only tells you that 75% of the population is white (mostly European). That doesn't break it down and tell you what percentage of that 75% is German, Irish, English, Scottish, Italian, etc. (I doubt I can find any more in-depth demographic information. I'm willing to bet the four most dominant nationalities are English, Scottish, German, and Irish, though.)

The UK government has told the immigrants to go home. The English are tired of becoming a minority in their own land. The UK is finally on its path to nationalism, just like the US.
