The President has arrived in Australia after a promising visit in New Zealand. (Ross needs to decide this as he is the Australian prime minister) The Head of the US Army has created the Ironman Brigade.

In real life, the US has about an $11-12 trillion GDP. According to a site with a pie chart, total Federal Funds amounts to $2.6 trillion. Look up the costs of stuff such as guns, ammo, military training, military commission, the cost of an average ship (destroyer, patrol vessel, carrier, frigate, submarine, etc) and the cost of the average military aircraft. You can change your government when starting, but try to be reasonable with it. Also, try to come up with a back story if you can because it makes everything a little more interesting. For example, if you, an imperial regime, toppled the communist regime in China, talk about the Revolution that brought an end to the PRC. For my back story, I just talked about how everyone was angry with the Republicans and the Democrats and decided to vote for a nationalist party that was above "bleeding heart" policies and "consumerist corruption" and supported the "re-establishment of the Anglo-American culture". Now, the New American Party is the most dominant party and is creating a series of reforms.

This is very much like the old Hegemony (V1). I am trying to stay as close to the old Hegemony as possible. Archi, I recommend that you read the first few pages of Hegemony V1 and then a little bit around page 50 or so. It'll give you an idea of the old Hegemony-style game play, before it became corrupted. I'm trying to get as much of a Hegemony feel as possible.

Keep in mind current events. For example, one of my first actions had to be pulling out of the Iraq/Afghanistan war. Also, 2 days is equal to 1 year. Also, you start with the technology that your nation currently has in real life, as well as the research that is currently going on. When starting a new project that doesn't already exist (such as domestic/foreign policies, etc.) just state that you are starting it.
