I use my dspear more than whip in cw. Its the ultimate cw weapon and i never play cw without it. The spec is perfect when you're escorting your flag or stopping your own one being taken. Its my favourite dragon weapon by miles.

Happy Birthday and yes theyre definetly worth it. How long they take is all up to luck as theyre a drop. It takes some people an hour or so to go from bronze to rune whereas with others it can take 3+ hours.

For melee nothings really changed but like the person above me said, range got seriously beefed up. What with Darkbows and Crossbows letting you hit 60+ now, range has definetly become more of a fearsome foe.

yes but you forget that range can still hit if they are frozen Magic is longer distance than range so it's still possible to mage from afar without getting hit against a ranger. Imo, its pretty close to being fair atm, well the closest it's ever been.
