Stupid Idea.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5 points = 3 - 4 minutes with a relay with a mate. Easy fast tickets therefore ruining the rarity of Decorative armour.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Considering that it's possible (albeit extremely hard) to score 23 points in a match limiting it to only 4 or 5 would ruin cw. Instead of defending you could just focus everything on attack and finish the game very easily

I absolutely HATE the idea of a set number of captures for a score.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1)Its taken me over a year and a half to get my amount of cw tickets with playing 2-3 games on avg a day, with this you could get my ammount of tickets in months

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2) it would make the game so that its just all focused on attacking, no defence. It'd be whoever can score fastest, Personally, that would just be too easy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3)Castle wars ROCKS as it is with 20 min games, why fix what aint broken?

No, or else games may be too quick. Instead of a "war", it'd just be a race of who can run the flag back n times faster. Also, I've seen games where one team is down 4 points halfway, but will gain 5 by the end and win the game when least expected, time gives a chance for one team to prove if it can hold it's victory for that long, and the other team to keep trying.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With no score limit, the winning team can war to defend its victory for a while tp see if it can. Same for losing team, gives them a chance to plan/attack to try to regain the win. It's called Castle Wars because it's a war, not a race.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Like said above, CW is real fun, do not turn it into a PC where people just win 5 min games to collect tickets without having any fun.

Okay, people, now I have enough thoughts to help here.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How about a "middle ground" on this? Something like having the game system give one random player on each team a quick config dialogue? This would also enable the CW game system to choose captains for each team at random, for which special ticket bonuses could be given (say, if you killed the captain at any time during the match), which would add a whole new dimension to the gameplay.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

BTW, this is merely a crazy thought. (So PLEASE don't flame me!) I'm just taking a little "Unreal Tournament CTF" experience and applying it here. (They didn't have special bonuses in Normal UT CTF, but they sure could have added a mod to do so easily! I just thought of that as to add a special twist anyone might like.)

NOT a good idea. Doing this would seriously encourage flag-holders. With the 20 minute time limit, people can make a comeback against a flag-holding team, but if that team just wins quickly and gives no chance, castle wars would be horrible. Flag holders would only have to hold it for 5-6 minutes if it was a 5 capture win.
