Well I know this might seem like every other question on here, but you never really seem to answer it in a clear way. I've been merchanting obsidian shields and capes and have been slowly edging my way forward from 1 mil to 8 mil in the past month. However making 30k profit per item is fairly bad comparing myself to the *master* merchants on here. So I ask the community, What is the most efficient thing to merchant. Notice how I say efficient. Actually let me add an enphasis to EFFICIENT.

 

 

 

That means, what is profitable to buy and sell, but still high in demand so it is easy to sell.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Many people suggest merchanting barrows. What kind of barrow sets? Buy as pieces and sell individual, sell as sets? Buy sets and sell as sets?

 

 

 

Be specific.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I've also heard to merchant the god armours. Last time I checked there is not much if any demand for them and they're to oahrd to sell.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now I know no one wants to give up their secrets of the grade, but could you please list some possible combinations as I want to be able to get a Santa Hat by June at the MOST.

These times prices are low, very low atleast a few 100k low, Buy items that ae in hi-demand at these tmes, then late the next right (around 7-10 in american time) go on and sell for the normal prices. you make lots with this.

Well, I have tried warrior rings. It worked out for me, but I'm no fan of merchanting, so I quit doing it after making about 300-400k off of it. Berserker rings might also work. I find verac also fluctuates a bit, see if you could make some profit offa buying and selling sets of that.

Seriously, there's no "default list" of items to merch. Merching isn't a "skill guide" thing, where you pick an item and go with it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Merch relies on your ability to "find" something people want, buy it either cheaper as 1 item, or as bulk, and sell in large amounts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Besides, if you had some super, great item I was merching for loads of cash.... would you tell everyone about it so they sold it also and hurt your business?

A lot of people buy snapdragon/ranarr seeds for under 20k and sell them at prices of upwards of 25k. Although most people will know you're merchanting, as a ton of low levels are beginning to do this...you can pretty much believe they don't have the farming level required to actually use the seeds.

Ok a really good thing to merchant are potions for example buy 1k pray pots for 7kea and sell them again for 7.5-8kea. This works with alot of different potions. Just go on rso fourms and look through the items and find things that seem like they have a wide price range then buy low and sell high. If every merchant told everyone what the best thing to merchant is there would be nothing left to merchant.

Also,alot of people are trying to get 99 cooking.Trust me,there is alot....So it is hard for you to run out of stock.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So what you have to do is buy them in bulk from forums or world 2,and resell them back in PKing worlds such as 18 if your merchanting sharks.Just stick with your prices and try saying the text in colors.You can buy cooked sharks for 700-800 in forums and resell back in world 18 for a higher price.

i think u should merchant barows sets like dharok and verac

I had some pm's saying that I should merchant barrow items by buying them in pieces and selling in sets to make 150k-200k profit. That for me is really too much effort because I have to scout out each peace for a price and then find a buyer for it when in my current merchanting method I just buy my "secret merchanting item" and sell it for 400k in about 30 minutes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The problem I have wit hmy current one while it is profitable is that it doesn't really sell fast. And there aren't that many in the game (no it's not a rare) so it's a bit tricky to buy and sell.

Try to buy about 400k - 500k air runes at 15 - 16 ea, on either the forums, or in World 2 Fally Park, or World 1 Varrock.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In turn sell these for 18 - 20 ea. It might take you anywhere from 3 days, to a week or more to buy all the runes, but selling them wont be hard at all, and the profits will be so outrageuos, that you will want to hug me at the end of it.

400k Airs x 20 ea = 8000k

At 8000k, you can buy 571k Airs at 14 ea. Sold at 22 ea, you would end with 12.562 Mil, a profit of 4562k!

there are alot of methods in every skill!

Most people won't buy 500k airs at once, but you will be surpirised to find out how many people will actually buy 50k, 75k, or even 100k for varius things. (i.e.: they are going for 99 mage. :D )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Those last situations (buyin 14 ea, selling 22 ea) are very rarely found. I would suggest buyign 16, selling 20. Or buying 16, selling 18. Lose a little bit of potential money, but save a bit of time.

To answer your question about :"what do they use it for" is pretty obvious:magic. Magic almost always requires air runes so they are in pretty high demand

THe reason why I said not one item because for 2 reasons, one the item I use I don't want leaked out even to another person because its not a big market so only one person can do it. Merchant what you know the prices for, the rise and drop alot know where to by and sell, ect. I can't tell you that item because its different for ever player.

Not so much with combat. I meant magic level.

 

 

 

Even a lot of high lvled combat players (100+) have horrible magic because it takes longer to train under most circumstances.

Well just got from 8 Mil to 10 Mil today by merchanting infinty stuff.

 

 

 

I guess this is going to be ok for now, but I am looking into the ideas of buying the prayer pots as those are always in high demand, or buying the mass quantities of air runes, as some of you suggested.
