andufusthebronze
Psychologically, acceptance is a huge motivator, and people really strive for any form of it. But for you to abandon a group you were already accepted with is just insulting to them and greedy of you. Those guys are most likely your true friends, and once this new clique gets tired of you, I'm not sure if they're going to want you back the way you treated them like they didn't exist. I never treated them lke they didn't exist! I got offered to hang out with them again at lunch, I said no. I guess, impressions won't always last. runesmithie
At small schools like mine you don't really have to worry about that crap :) Sure there are different groups of friends, but its too small for people to completely abandon one group for another :P Yea, my schools just as small, maybe even smaller (650 kids in Middle School and High School combined, 250 in high School), and we don't really have this sort of thing, everyone accepts everyone pretty much. :| That's ****ing massive! My graduating class will have 18 kids... I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.

xplod33
from the way i see it at my school...the real jerks are 'cool' and popular and the other guys that I find actually nice and i like to talk to, are usually left out etc. the people that accept you at first are your true friends, whereas the people that accept you for your money or the fact that you 'impressed' them by doing something are not your friends also...girls seem to go after the jerks and leave the nice guys out -.-
sheepdean
everyone strives for the acceptance of others, and we all secrtly enjoy getting it, even when we don't admit it. just don't get big-headed, and do what you think is right when you have a situation which could conflict with your scruples Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all. Clown
As I got older, that stuff mattered to me less and less. The "labeling" in this society is getting out of hand, and it really makes me angry. Be friends with people you like, period. No compromise for anyone. Don't bend your personality or beliefs for they're sake. Be as you were when you were in middle (elementary?) school. Be civilized to ALL individuals. If you don't like then, you don't have to sit with them or be friends with them, but give them a chance. BIGOTED ATTITUDE = BAD HUMAN BEING. ~
