Extreme Makeover: Clan Edition

Featured Replies

Lets discuss all those clans out there who went from struggling along to becoming HUGE massive all powerful clans. And how did this happen? What sudden accurance happened to make these clans grow so large and active.

I'm sure most of the clans out there have struggled when they first began. I mean, they don't get like that instantly.

I would say every clan on the top 50 list. They all start out with less than 20 members then grow.

To be specific though, wasn't Mori a little bad? Something happened then they starting gaining. Just distant rumors, I have no idea if it's true.

Some Mass Recruit like the dead clan, SA. They mass recruited over a hundred members in less than a day and were able to hold 300+ members for over 2-3 months until their forum was deleted which showed who were actually active in Rs and forum on the new forum. Only about 180-220 members registered on the new forum but the clan then died from inactiveness

Di started out with over 50 members and kept growing because of their strength and numbers in pk, same with RSD.

Yeah. Sometimes the clans with the most members die with inactiveness because of the fact that you can't get EVERYONE to post.

what the hell are u talking about? man, u need to stop posting random stuff because every time I see your post and its something stupid, it just pisses me off..

THE has 200+ members and is still standing as a tough clan. Its not about posting...

Its about your activeness in both game and forum. Posting doesn't mean a thing really...

You could have 40 posts but you would come to every pk, miniwar and wars..

Yeah coming to events is important too. I'm not condemning them.

Every clan starts out struggling and eventually grows and becomes stronger. When the Eos founders broke off from ZF, they were totally outnumbered and outmatched...but we grew. Growing in the proper way (slowly building up a solid member base) takes time.

You can always just mass recruit to quick growth...but almost all clans that do that end up dying soon thereafter.

I've tried mass recruiting & to protect my clan's current state, I eventually had to kick out the majority of them. It's hard to find "good" clan members these days & it's getting even harder with all the PC products & little kids.

That's why mass recruiting doesn't work.. There is still some immature non-clan members on the forums.

what exactly is mass recruiting?? Is it when you accept everyone??

It depends, mass recruiting can mean u accept everyone. It can also mean that u try as hard as u can to boost ur options as fast as possible, but within the limits of ur requirements.

That is largly the fault of jagex. They have obviously targeted the game toward younger players, players who simply don't have the developed social skills to work well in a clan or society.

I have noticed that most of the extremly successful leaders have come from way back when in RSC. I think this is for 2 reasons. 1. They know the in's and out's of runescape. They know not only how to play, but how to take advantage of someone else's weaknesses. 2. RSCers are usual older people, 18+. I myself have played sence september 2001, about 9 months after it came out. This has alowed me to see what is acceptable in the RS community and what is not and gives me a huge advantage when I go for a clan.

Once an opinion is formed the truth is irelivant.

That's annoying. I wish JAGeX would just place updates for more experienced players. The quests they are releasing are mainly for lower levels.

so is like....Hislordship (from Wilderness Guardians) an old RSC player?

Yeah he is, that clan started as a RSC clan. And was pretty big untill the end of last year. :-#

HoF were in a bad slump, we were only managing to pull 60+ opts to pks. Organisation was still there but the numbers however werent. We withdrew of the RAW list and settled down for a bit. We have come back with a 110 cmb average, 150+ opts to pks and wars. And 29 on the RAW list, if thats not a comeback type o thing then i dunno what is.
