JoeDaStudd
That program is your spywaredetector software, is perfectly safe. By any chance does the 100% usage only happen when you start your pc? If so the program could be set to automatically scan for spyware on start-up. If it does it on/off after start-up, then I would recommend unstalling the spywaredetector software, then either use a different spyware software or reinstall spywaredetector. Parabola
Why do you need a spyware detector that runs constantly? You should just have one that you choose to run regularly. You can safely disable that thing's startup entry either by looking in msconfig, or using a utility called autoruns from here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysint ... oruns.mspx
The Observer
Maybe try using a spyware removal tool? I would recommend Ad-Aware SE.
coltm4carbine
Spyware Detector is an antispyware program itself... However I still don't 100% trust it. Jusched/ Java does not need to start up. thats for sure. I'm not sure what other stuff you have starting up.
Cruiser
Removing Spyware Detector would probably be the best course of action. There is no need to have it running at all times (if you get infected, it running isn't going to help you at that point) and the fact its using 100% shows it has issues. Remove it, install Adaware and Spybot S&D and be done with it.
nomar04
the thing is that i had AVG, and that slowed my computer down too much, do my dad got Spyware Detector. you also have to pay for it, so i can't get rid of it completely. ive already got Avast, which i told my dad was enough, but oh well. i could not find a way to get it to stop running all the time, but it will only scan when it has to put something in quarantine. unfortunately, the subcription lasts until Sept. :( ill post later and see if it was fixed, and thanks for your help. coltm4carbine
Remove Avast if you have AVG Antivirus. Having 2 antiviruses will slow your computer if they're running at the same time (both giving you real time protection).
Parabola
If you read my post I told you two ways to stop it running all the time. Also, just because you paid for it doesn't mean there isn't a better alternative that is free. Get rid of it.
