Do you feel that Jagex is letting us down?

Featured Replies

I am level 112, but F2P, and I am content with my new-look Moss Giants. I don't believe Jagex is letting us down, but I also believe high levels should get a few updates now and then.

Updates would be nice, but JaGeX is under no obligation to help us free players.

That said, I think the content they do release to us is very good.

Think about what else the JaGeX staff do aside from making content updates to the game: They have to keep 140 servers running smoothly 24-7, each packed with hundreds of people at any given time; they have to debug everything they create before releasing it into the game, making sure that nothing goes wrong (Remember the June Construction glitch?); they need to sort out the membership status of several thousand players every day; they need to constantly address problems in the game (macroers, abusive users, etc. - even if they don't do this as well as many of us would like); and worst of all, they need to put up with the assorted slings and arrows of hundreds of its players through their forums, their fans' forums, and their suggestion and customer support services.

Is JaGeX letting us down? Ridiculous. I think they're doing a phenomenal job.

The only "high lvl" update was the fight caves/fire cape.

It's not at jagex's advantage to do too many high lvl updates; they want all the low lvls to be excited and keep paying their 5$ a month.

2480+ total

I feel they need to implement a tiny bit more high-level things, but not many. The game is pretty much balanced, as someone else already said, its your job to entertain yourself, Jagex just provides the means for it. I don't think Jagex is letting us down, but as a letter grade I'd give them a C+ for achievement and a B for effort. :)

Personally I think they should go 1 month with no updates and let the complacent ones go berserk , it'd teach them to be grateful for what they have

There's cake through here, apparently.

I'm only level 70 combat, total somwhere around 1,005, so I'm content with lots of things to do. I understand, though, why some higher levels might get mad if they have the fire cape, all of the good armour like Barrows and Dragon and Third Age and all of that nice stuff, and 99 in most all of their skills. They get bored. All I can suggest is quit, keep checking for updates, though, and when you see a satisfying one go ahead and try to get whatever that might be.

Or play castle wars all the time, and try to some of that yellow armour...
