Blizzard found a way to kill that which has no life

"This is a notification regarding your World of Warcraft account," the e-mail began. "Access to this account has been permanently disabled for exploitation of the World of Warcraft economy or for being associated to accounts which have been closed for intended exploitation." Zak, a 14-year-old WoW player from Georgia, asked that his last name not be used.

According to several players, Zak isn't the only WoW participant who recently has received a ban with what they believed to be little or no justification. Critics claim WoW publisher Blizzard Entertainment has been snaring innocent players in a dragnet for banned activities like account sharing and gold farming--a system in which players either directly or indirectly acquire large amounts of in-game currency or goods through repetitious actions, often achieved by operating automatic "bots" or macros that kill monsters or discover treasure.

Sad, cause this is happening in RS, but people pour so much of their lives into WoW they just might kill themselves. (They should.)

I'd call that JAGeX-itis.

Dude, you're an idiot #-o
Dude, your feeble attempt at an insult is hilarious.

i'd say that WoW players and RS players aren't the most friendly to each other...

Tell me about it. Ive seen my share of "Warcraft>runescape" youtube videos. So i dont take a liking to WoW in general. Looks like that $15 a month really isnt helping get good customer service huh? Bah, i doubt anything ever will, especially in jagex case. But as for WoW, i dont think blizzard could care about accidental bans. They have enough customers to keep their money baths active.

Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.

If you want to see a bot in WoW, just visit the Burning Steppes and hit the dragons. Have a look around, get some free kills, camp the bots and amuse yourself by trying to get them killed by creatures. Take note of the names you see. Leave. Return a week later.

Then tell me Blizzard is being "heavy-handed".

Most likely, someone got bored with grinding on their own and bought gold. Logging on for more than an hour and you can expect at least two spam-tells advertising gold selling; If you're interested in buying gold, you will know where to go.

I used to go to Ashtara and kill gold farmers for fun. It was the one area my weak little dwarven priest could kill multiple rogues and shamans because I had raised my rep so the little furbolgs were my friends but autoattacked the farmers. It was great. All these little teddy bear looking critters swarming people trying to kill me. Fun times.
