To find things easily, hit, "Control F" and a box will appear. Type in key words, and the program will scroll down to the word you typed in, and it will highlight the words. This works on most computers.

Introduction

IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m not sure if this breaks any rules, like if there are too many colors or pictures, if so, just let me know and I can fix it.

This guide was originally made for The FireBirdz, and now, for the clan [i m p u l s e]. So, if I missed editing something that doesnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t help the general public, it was because it was intended to be only read by my clan-mates.

So, for about the second time in my RS career, I will be making a PK strategy/informational guide. I consider myself a good non-member PKer, and an asset to most clan PK trips. This guide is purely NON-MEMBERS! Some of the initials used will be used in member PKing as well, but don't rely on this guide for any sort of member wilderness information. That being said, here's my guide.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part 1: Word Definitions/Initials
During PKing, you will see a lot of initials being used. Also, you will see some words being used in strange ways. Initials are used because, obviously, there isn't enough time to type out words when PKing. I will also tell you the definitions of some phrases used purely when PKing. Enjoy!
Initials:
PK - Player Kill
RR - Rune Rocks
DD - Death Dot, stand on the same space as your clan. It hides your numbers (besides your opitions, although not many can divide options by 3 faster than they are attacked) and organizes you for attacking enemies
GDs - Greater Demons
(Insert clan name here) on (insert name here) - When someone says this, he or she means (insert clan name here) attack (someone's name)
W (insert number here) - World (insert a world/server here), used when world hopping. Your leader wants you to go to the world they say out-loud.
Pot - Strength potion
These few aren't only used when PKing, but they are used sometimes. Here they are:
BRB - Be right back
BRT - Be right there
F2P Free to play, non-member
P2P - Pay to play, member
Phrase Definitions:
Hugging - When you are attacked, you run behind a rock/tree/skeleton, so that your enemies can't attack you. (This is only to be used when being piled)
Pot Up - Your leader wants you to use your strength potion
Hop - World change, normally your leader will say: World hop to (insert server here)
Run on Auto Off - Turn your run option on, turn auto retaliate off
Fall in - This means to follow someone. E.G. Fall in on Ghjff!
Options - Options are what you get when you roll your mouse over the pile of members standing in the same spot.
optionsrj6.jpg
They tell how many people are standing in one spot. When not in the wilderness, you divide the options by 2 to get the amount of people. In the wilderness, you divide it by 3. This is because in the wilderness, you get a new option, the "Attack," option.
Spam - In the wilderness spam means two things. One is good; one is bad. The bad one is when you say pointless things, the same thing that spam means when on the forums. The good spam is when spamming names. For example: (insert clan name here) on Mistro!!!
Retreat - Hmm, I wonder... RUN AWAY!
Team!@!#!@!!@ - When someone is approaching you in the wilderness, and someone in your pile screams, "Team," that person approaching us is on our side, so don't attack them!
Non-Mutli - Non multi combat zone, only 1 versus 1 fights can occur here
Scout - A scout is a person he checks out normal PKing spots, to see if anyone is there. This is usually a low-leveled character. Enemy scouts can be recognized by:
-No Armour
-Level 3-10 Account
-The default character looks
-Talking EXTREMELY noobishly[/font]
That's it for that section, when I think of more or you suggest more, I'll add them in.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Part 2: PK Gear

This is the part where I tell you what to bring, like your Armour/weapons and food. These need to be followed for a successful trip! If you don't have at least on of the sets of Armour/weapons I will list below, take the time to get them! For your clan :o

Section 1:

Melee Armour

Meleers should be people who gain combat levels with melee. (Melee is attack and strength)

Here is the non-member gear you should bring:

Clan Cape Color

Runite Full Helmet

Strength Amulet/Power Amulet

Runite Platebody

Runite Plate Legs/Plate Skirt (Battle kilt!)

Runite Kite Shield

Fighting/Colorful Boots, Leather if you have to

Runite Scimitar/Runite Longsword/Runite Battleaxe

Green Dragonhide Vambraces (I will normally be seen handing these out, as they can be tricky to find)

Here's a picture of what I'd like you to bring, as a Warrior:

meleeho0.jpg

Section 2:

Range

Rangers should have 80+ Ranged level.

Here is the non-member gear you should bring:

Clan Cape Color

Coif

Power Amulet

Green Dragonhide Body

Green Dragonhide Chaps

Green Dragonhide Vambraces

Maple Shortbow

Adamant/Mithril Arrows

Leather/Fighting/Colorful Boots

Here's a picture of what I'd like you to bring, as a Ranger:

rangelj3.jpg

Section 3:

Magic

Mages should have 80+ Magic.

Here is the non-member gear you should bring:

Clan Cape Color

Wizard Hat (Blue or Black)

Power/Magic Amulet

Wizard Robe (Blue or Black)

Monk/Priest Robe Bottoms

Leather/Fighting/Colorful Boots

Leather/Colorful Gloves

Air/Fire Staff (Your staff depends on whether you bring air runes or fire runes)

150-200 Death Runes

750-1,000 Fire/Air Runes (The rune you bring here depends on your staff type)

NO Anti-Dragonfire Shield, it does nothing good for you. It weighs a ton, which decreases the speed of your energy regain, and makes you loose energy quicker.

Here's a picture of what I'd like you to bring, as a Mage:

magicnl7.jpg

And that ends Part 2.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part 3: Spamming/Name-Calling
Section 1: Spam Definition, Straight From... My Head!
Spamming in the Wilderness is when you call out an enemyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s name, so your teammates know whom to attack. For example, say you were in the wilderness with your clan. We are all following PK Master1000, and we see a person. That person's name is, "Ghjff". PK Master1000 would decide whether or not to attack Ghjff. If he thinks we should, he would yell out, "(Insert clan name here) on Ghjff!!!" Now, everyone following PK Master1000 would attack Ghjff. All of us attacking Ghjff would also yell out, "(insert clan name here) on Ghjff." (If you don't know why we'd yell out, "{insert clan name here} on Ghjff, refer to Part 1)
If you still don't understand, go ahead and post here or PM me to ask about spamming in more detail.
Spamming's entire purpose is to tell your teammates who to attack. When 50 people are running around, it's very hard to find out whom your team is attacking. Spamming solves this problem. Not only that, but spamming shows your clanÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s strength. This scares the people we are attacking, and causes them confusion, which leads to them dying.
And that concludes Part 3.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Part 4: Tips & Tricks

Welcome to the hardest to write part of this guide! You better enjoy!

Tips & Tricks

1) Keep Auto Retaliate Off - When being piled, you don't want to keep turning around and hitting one of the many people who will be piling you. It's pointless, you'll do no damage, and you will probably be KOed. Auto Retaliate being off helps you hug, a lot. (If you don't know what "Hug" means, refer to Part 1)

2) Unless YouÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re Leading, Keep Run On - When you PK deep, you usually walk between the Rune Rocks and the Greater Demons. When you and your clan close in on these locations, you run in to:

1. Cause confusion in the enemy's head

2. Stop people from logging out, you attack them before they get a chance

3. So the enemy can't see your options

(If you don't know what "OptionsÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

DD: death dot (when you stand on 1 square)

also, why f2p? many people here are p2p :-k

Like I said, this was made for my clan. I saw we were lacking in FTP skill, so I made it. Just felt like sharing it. And thanks for the DD, I forgot about it.

pantim, give me something new. I felt like going over basics, and basics are what PKing is. I didn't go over any strategies, because I don't really think they help.

Ah, forgot about the title. So many places with this guide, so hard to keep them all editted. As for the orange text, I'll see if anyone else has problems with it. So far, besides you :anxious: no one has commented on it. If a ton of people do, I guess I'll have to think of another color.

Great general guide for F2P. Very useful knowledge for clans, but also invuluable general knowledge for avoiding being pk'ed by clans when doing your own thing alone or in a small group.

Thank you very much for the information.

Awesome guide! :D I, myself, am not a pker, nor F2P, but I read it all and learned alot. You've inspired me to go train up my range noob. Any links to your clan forum (if you have one, that is :P) incase I ever want to apply?

nice guide. wear leather boots when ranging and when maging, no boots/gloves btw. wear a dueling ring also so you can hop to a p2p server and teleport with it from 20 wild after you are done fighting/pking.

When ranging, there's no reason to not wear green dragonhide vambraces. You should wear fighting boots/colorful boots, only if you have a high ranged/magic level. For mages, leather/colored gloves are OK. The only thing they do is raise defense bonus, nothing negative to a mage.

Also, most clans don't support teleporting. Nor do I. I think it's dishonourable. And usually, when you leave the wilderness after clan PKing, you go with them. No little, say, pure mage is going to mess with a clan. There's no reason to bring that ring. Also, 20 and below in non-member wilderness isn't dangerous for 95+

the idea of the ring is to leave the wild quicker, not to tele in fights lol... and i thought leather gloves had a negative mage attack

Now you know :notalk:

I still won't add the dueling ring, because you're more likely going to be barraged and killed in a members' world, than you are going to be meleed in non-members.

I don't really pk myself (look at stats to find out why if you want), but this could be invaluble to avoid being pked for my future forays into the wilderness.
