I have thought of lots of little ideas to improve TIF-

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My first idea is quite complicated to explain.The idea is that on everybodys account some sort of machine will work out everyones indiviual likely time to be online and what forum their likely to be on[lets say this would be mine E.g. monday,2pm-3pm GMT on the Gallery,so roughly that would be most likely time to catch me online].

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My second idea is a BUMP button and I no this is against this forum rules to post it as a idea but i have a solution to maybe the reason you say dont post it[although i dont the reason why you say dont post it so this might still not qualfiy,if so please dont lock this post becuase of the other ideas].My solution to the problem is that you can only bump a post when it is on the second page of the forum and popular E.g. Over 50 Posts,also only the writer of the post can bump the post up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My third idea is points/credits.This is an idea i got from invision forums, roughly you get points/credits every time you submit a post/topic which you can donate to someone.This can be useful for the shops on the gallery[it can be used to pay for signatures] and other reasons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My fourth idea is to do with the website poll,the idea is that instead of having just one poll on the website there should be a poll on the forum as well[this would mean you could focus the website poll on the website and RS and then the forum poll on the forum and not RS.]

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My fifth idea is just 2 simple additions to profile options,first there should be an sub-option for your RS Account option, saying whether you want it to say if you retired or not.The second addition is a option where you state your gender.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My last idea is another profile addition.It is like the msn,www and yahoo messanger little tags you get at the bottom of your posts,it should say something like links and its where you can puts other forums you talk on and your username on them forums so people can talk to you on there aswel.

I don't think this would be a very good thing to add, even if it is possible to put in. If you really want to know when someone in specific will be on, just ask them.

As you said yourself, a blacklisted idea. Anyways, I don't get what is so bad about bringing the thread up yourself.

I don't think I'm following, how would you get the points? Anyways, using it to buy and sell signatures wouldn't be fair, as some users may have more points than others.

Sounds like a good idea if I understand you correctly... I think you mean an off-topic poll. I think it would be a good idea to see peoples' views on certain issues going on these days, and have a little discussion (or debate) in the thread.

Your first idea, the account retired thing, in my opinion, isn't a good idea. I don't see what's wrong with just typing retired where your account name would be. The gender thing, I think it would be a good idea, but needed... Hmmm...

There already is a place where you can put links. Just add the website to your "Website" in your profile. Then people can click on that link in your signature. If you want people to contact you there, just add that to your signature.

You said it yourself. This system would be very easily abused.

But this is phpBB, not invisionboard. This counts quantity, not quality

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. If you want a poll on your thread, you can PM mod and they will add it. Otherwise, can you clarify?

For retired, just type that where your rs name would be. As for number two, I suggested it a while ago, but someone said it was against the personal info rule. But I thought it was good.

I dont think its likely that ANY of your ideas would be implemented.

I no most of my idea arent needed that much I just put them as little improvements.A few people have been confused over the poll thing ill explain again.THe main poll at the minute focuses on the forum the website and RS.So whats the point of having a question about the forum if some people who use the website might not use the forum,so if there was also like a main weekly poll under annoucnments... section asking questions about the forum.This would mean that the webiste poll can just focus on RS and the website.

There are some neat ideas, but as Mercifull said, i dont think they will be added..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But yea, they are nice ones =)

1) You can just ask said person when they will be on. Much easier than wasting time trying to program something that will guess.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2) As said already, it's blacklisted.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3) Otherwise known as a CashMOD. This has been shot down multiple times in multiple different forums due to its utter uselessness. Do a search on this forum and you'll find the replys.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4) All forum issues are brought up in the board and polled on if needed. What use would there be for a forum specific poll aside from the same random junk people are already posting?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5) Like everyone else has said, just put it in your signature. No need for another custom profile option few people will actually use.
