April 2, 200719 yr Which spell is best to cast if you want to raise HP in the highest HP-to-Mage xp ratio (If I want to raise HP without raising mage quite as fast)? I've calculated that fire strike is the best if you don't factor in hit probability, but what if I DO factor it in? What spell would be best then? Still enjoying RuneScape?
April 2, 200719 yr Barrage... Or any ancient spell if you lose it in the right location. :? He doesn't have ancients he is F2P. On topic: I would guess the best to use would be any of the blast spells in F2P. Most likely to hit I would guess. It depends on what you are training on also. If you are training on a water monsters, you wouldn't want to use a water spell. Etc. Etc. You have to use the right spell with the right monster for best results. For instance, you would want to use a water spell for a fire monster if I am not mistsaken.
April 2, 200719 yr the hp:magic ratio is the same for all if you want hp and not magic, train another combat style. Barrows drops: ahrims staff (2), karils coif, karils xbow, torags plate body, veracs helm.
April 2, 200719 yr ranged is the best way to train hp wow, i didn't know ranged was a magic spell #-o on-topic: i doubt that the spells have different hp-mage ratios unless if they're non-damage spells like curse or hi-alch Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)
April 4, 200719 yr Author ranged is the best way to train hp wow, i didn't know ranged was a magic spell #-o on-topic: i doubt that the spells have different hp-mage ratios unless if they're non-damage spells like curse or hi-alch You might think so if you take a cursory glance, but remember that you get 2 magic xp each point of damage you deal. The max hit of Fire Strike is 8. The xp gained from it is 11.5 per cast excluding damage- with damage, the max xp is 27.5. You get 4/3 hitpoints xp points for each point of damage you deal. Max is 8, meaning 32/3 max hp gained from Fire Strike. Dividing this by the max magic xp, you get a ratio of .3878 hitpoints-to-magic xp. The higer the ratio, the more hp xp you get versus magic xp assuming you continuously get the max hit. Obviously, you don't always get the max hit- so knowing that this is true, which spell is better? A wider damage range means that higher damage is dealt more often when the spell is cast successfully. Out of all spells, save for perhaps barrage or blitz spells, fire strike has the highest of these ratios. Still enjoying RuneScape?
April 4, 200719 yr I would train ranged to get hp exp, since as long as your range level is less than your mage lvl, you won't raise combat.
