Darrel104
1. Kasper spy 2. NOD32 3. norton http://usa.kaspersky.com/store/ << how much Kasper sky costs(the anti-virus comes with anti spyware) http://www.eset.com/purchase/index.php < http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice ... id=nav2007 << how much norton costs(press purchase options in the middle box) You shouldn't get more than one antivirus at a time so you should uninstall AVG before you install another If you are looking for a firewall i would recommended zone alarm

x76
1. NOD32 2. F-Secure 3. Panda Anti-Virus 4. Kaspersky(It is okay but I've had problems where it wouldn't delete a virus)
890nll
panda anti virus would have to be the best in my book.

binarypi0110
AVG is fine, and is probably one of the best free softwares out there My suggestion (and I make this suggestion with experence) is that you should only have 1 (ONE) antivirus software on your computer, otherwise you get a whole bunch of issues between the 2 (or more). Also you should have one or 2 firewalls, one preferably hardware (such as a router) I would say that your system is ok. Spybot and Adaware are nice software
Randox
spysweeper. I think its only a free trial, but when I used it, it was finding things norton and AVG couldnt find. Best 14 days ever.
JoeDaStudd
It really depends. AVG and Avast have great free offerings which I would consider to be the best as you cant beat free, and not only that but they are good performers too. However in term of performance in my experience (note these are the only paid for AV's I've used) Panda is very good, followed by McAfee and then at the bottom Norton (I had a performance boost from switching from Norton to McAfee which is why Norton is at the bottom. coltm4carbine
Spysweeper is an antispyware... My list... 1) Kaspersky 2) Eset / Nod32 3) McAfee Eset is fast and uses less resources on my computer but Kaspersky did detect things that Nod missed so that's why KAV is at the top. arranator2
I wouldnt suggest norton , its not a really good anti-virus software at its price, go with the others such as Nod32
nephite
I might get flamed for this but I own an Apple computer and haven't had a virus or spyware problem for three and a half years. It's amazing!
Jaziek
consider yourself flamed.. I think AVG is a pretty good antivirus if you keep it updated spybot and ad-aware are a good combo and you cant go wrong with zonealarm firewall.. keep those 4 on ur PC and you are pretty much safe. Doomster
http://www.activevirusshield.com/antivi ... /index.adp? AOL Antivirus - powered by Kapersky! That's got to be the one to beat. AVG certainly warrants an honourable mention, for their longstanding freeware version that loses only a few features (mostly that scheduling is very limited) compared to the full version. Avira / Free-AV is also in there, as is Avast (though at one time, fon't know if they still do that, you had to re-register every year for Avast). But none of them are as big a name as Kapersky. rodl
I might get flamed for this but I own an Apple computer and haven't had a virus or spyware problem for three and a half years. It's amazing! I am using windows XP and I haven't had any either! Amazing huh? The reason why you don't get viruses is because only 3% of people use those useless Macs, there is no point of creating Mac viruses. Windows viruses obviously won't work on Macs just like Mac viruses won't work on windows. NOD32 is my favorite.

Brrx
I have a Apple but I run OS X and Windows XP. Running OS X Norton has proved to be the best. Running Windows XP I would have to say AVG is the best deal. Free and reliable. Live by the sword, die by the sword...
