New and improved setup lower down

 

This is my current barrows setup. Please rate and give advice.

 

 

 

 

My stats are in my sig. I am planning to get 55 prayer and 70 magic before my next barrows trip.

 

 

 

I pray on Dharock and Karil and use remaining prayer on Ahrim. The D long and kite are for in tunnels.

lose the duling ring equip the shield (leave out the prayer book) and lose the karil skirt

lose the kite and keep the prayer book imo..

 

 

 

i would use monks instead of sharks, monks are about 1/4 of the price, and i never run out of food using rune pl8 and legs and everything else mage gear.

 

 

 

everything else looks good.

With my stats, if I used 4 DDS specs on Karil and then finished him off with a D Long would this be quicker than maging him?

keep the ring of dueling unless you have teletabs, or you want to use cammy tele

yes you would be correct in your asumption.

They are cooking gauntlets

Maybe switch the helm for a Farseer helm? It might help as a mage bonus.

This is the new and improved barrows setup

 

 

The pots are a defence pot and a super attack pot. The super attack along with the DDS are for meleeing Karil. The sharks are there for emergancies. I will teleport out using a glory.

sharks? monks? i am way lower lvl than you and lobs are fine for me : use safespots for maximum prayer and food saving. and you could forget that def pot, as far as i know youre gonna pray against karil anyway and the other monsters arent worth the pot

Keep the book. Get better gloves (your best rfd gloves). Switch helm of Neitiznot for Torag's helm and rune boots for mystic boots.

I've only done 1st part of RFD so thats why I use cooking gauntlets. Torag helm provides better defense than helm of Neitiznot. I wear climbing boots which are more easily replacable than rune boots and i don't think they have negative magic attack.

 

 

 

The defence pot is for Verac, Guthan and Torag becasue I don't use prayer for them. The sharks are a safety precaution. I only pray on Dharok and Karil so I need good food.

def pot for verac? i have never killed him in his grave. i always leave him for the tunnels to easily safespot him. and now, seriously, guthan and torag arent that deadly. forget the def pot

You can get defence pots very cheaply form the warriors guild so if they saved 1 monkfish I would make a profit.

 

 

 

I tried meleeing Karil today but I think it will be quicker to use slayer dart.

 

I also did Ahrim without prayer and only had to use 2 monks.
