OK, This was strange.

 

 

 

I Was walking down Port Samari [Probaly spelt wrong] and there was a huge sudden wave of Wise Old Men.

 

 

 

I Counted Twenty coming and going in a matter of seconds..

 

 

 

I Noticed they kept swarming around this level 3.

 

 

 

Has anyone experienced similar experiences?

I have seen someone else do something like this, maby with the WOM, he kept making them appead, and did it for at least an hour I think. I reported it as a bug.

I just saw it in World 16. They were surrounding a level 3 in Freaky Forester clothing. Around 3 Mysterious Old Men would appear for around 5 seconds, then disappear again. I'm quite certain it is bug abuse, unless it was an error made by Jagex.

Maby its some behavior typical of bots that forces the random event to keep happening. Though the one I saw I think was deliberate by a human (wasent lvl 3 and he might have been responding to the crowed). I think it is bug abuse, both reportable and something you should write to Jagex about, they have a section for sending them bug abuse letters.

I would say it is probably either bug abuse, or Jagex is getting tougher on macroers.

It could be getting tougher on autoers, im not sure. He was a lv3 and obviousely was a Auto fisher of lobbsters.

 

 

 

Also, someone just said they saw it in world 16. Thats were I Also saw them.

Anyway, it's probably macro's or gold farmers. If it's a level 3 with an odd name chances are it is. Just report them and move along.

Yeah well that is the power of jagex, getting the autoers a hard time :D

Maybe they just found an action to draw him to them. I find that if I stay in a general store window for 15 or more minutes then close out of it and cut a gem I always get a teleport random. So far today 4 pinballs, 1 drill demon, 1 quiz show and 1 mime.

I saw a level 20 keep getting teleported by Molly for about 2 minutes.

 

It was really creepy.

Well, Ive sent in a bug report, waiting for a reply.

My guess is that they are macros and jagex's randoms are just doing their job lol :wink:

You can no longer log our from random events, that might be the cause.

There's a weird bug thing when you're with a lot of people and 1 gets a random all of a sudden 10000 randoms appear. Weird and funny, there's a video where you can see it too.
