I'll tell you one thing to fix right away... get a better font for your words... also practice shading. Keep trying, eventually you'll become good at it.

Very nice for your first pixel. I noticed though that you need a bit more practice with shading, and the spray tool is a bit cheesy :| .

i know the spray tool is cheesy but i wanted to give the snow that fluffy look and i know my first shade on the tents is too light although i dont know how to change the font

 

edit i changed the font and am fixing the shade will upload in a couple of minutes

i updated the sig and created an alternate that you guys might like better pick your favorite and give me suggestions

bleurch that text is worse than the original, at least original was readable, here's my take on it redrew man made it a little bit better in bout 20 mins

yep try to make them look good, spend time on them, zoom in as much as possible, don't keep it as full size as you will never get straight looking lines

You need to try and get better color choices and not use any tools except the 1px pencil for the first one. The second one looks like he just had an explosion in the chest. Really all you need is more practice and to read a few tutorials with you can find in the faq sticky. Also make sure you zoom in all the way witch you just click the bottom border right under the 8x zoom. Make sure your text blends well with your background and is readable.

Its pretty obvious that he was attacked by the shark in your sig, therefore, he is missing a chunk in his arm. :-s

Edited the head, it's kinda lacking anatomy, shading, interest, etc.
