Its not meant to be a sig or anything. I just got bored and opened up GG and messed around with the pencil tool for a while making quick sketches. I came up with this and finally decided to clean up the linework.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Before you guys say that I need a lightsource, the lightsource is his halo. 8-)

 

 

 

Please give some C/C on the piece so far.

The body seems to be awfully thin, maybe work around with the anatomy abit more, give it shading as well, you said the Halo was it's lightsource, but there still seems to be nothing to show that this is putting off light at all.

 

 

 

The crows I think they are in the background definately need more definition to show what they are, because at the moment it's yeah hard to tell what they are....Sorry if they aren't crows.

 

 

 

You can add alot more work into this, and I know you said it was a quicky, so yeah it's pretty obvious that it would need more work into it, but anyways if it's a WIP you can see the things that need to be added in, should be good once or if you get a background happening.

Its a WIP... of course i'll add shading. Its death, hes a skeleton, no doubt he should be thin... I don't think it needs to be wider. Those arent crows... they won't even be in the picture much longer. They're the colors i'm using on the robes. Thanks for the advise though

You're kinda' ignoring the critique. His body needs a form, whether it be bone of flesh. At this stage, it looks like a cloak draped over an arrow with a curved head, and a sphere to lift the hood. Like this, but vertical. -----)O

 

 

 

The lines need a lot of fixing. I'll edit his left arm to illustrate. Note how on the outer edge, the line is less jagged, and smoother. This is perhaps not the best example, because your linework is quite weak. D:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Work on the shading aswell, but I suggest you make another lightsource, because; 1. There would surely be more lightsources affecting him, unless he were in a pitch black space. 2. It will be harder to understand his form and shade correctly because the halo creates a challenging lightsource.

Why did you shade the inside of the hood as if the halo was in from of it? The shading is horribly off from what you claim to be the light source, and the line work is a mess. You obviously have something against listening to c/c though, you're quality doesn't ever seem to improve.

Ugh!! I don't know why I even bother!!! Would someone please teach these people how to read? I said its a WORK IN PROGRESS! So would you guys stop telling me it needs shading. I'm well aware of that. The line work is messy because it was a QUICK SKETCH! I swear all you guys do is come into threads to look at pictures! more like people insist on being idiotic morons(in real life not really any disrespectful posters on this forum, most flaming is caused by miscommunication) but it would of helped if he made it clearer than the words "so far" witch sometimes you can miss it and seem like a nutbag.

Darrel, it is clearer than "so far" I also said right in the titile "WIP" and if they don't see that, they're blind and have no right to comment on my art. I also said in the second sentence that i came up with this from a "quick sketch" which means it obviously won't be perfect.

i have faith in you, my eggs. if someone saw the lineworks in my own pixels, he would become a heart attack :P
