What would make the ditch better in my opinion is a way to fill it with dirt so you could bypass over it. When you fill it up though, it would only be filled up for you. The only way to get better at runescape is through trial and error. Notice the first generation of runescape was much more skilled as a whole than the current? Everybody leaned how to play the hard way, not by reading guides and taking advantage of idiot proof updates. nowadays, people who get lured do not learn, they rant on the forums until their threads get locked, then rant about the forum mod that locked it. i'll agree that players today have it too easy, though, and i wasn't in classic. They rant on the forums and get their thread locked, then rant again, but they still learned something. They learned that rs is tough. They also leaned that get got lured, and roughly about how luring works. Most wont get lured again. Now there might be some morons who didn't learn the first time, and get lured again. Even if they get lured 10 times, somewhere along the lines they will think to themself: "Hey the last 10 times this happened, I got lured and lost my stuff, I don't want to do it anymore." The only people who will never learn would be anybody who is clinically insane. The definition of insanity is trying something over and over expecting different results. You will still have to click go over the ditch, caus it will look like your in the ditch to other players, and they will mostlikely report it as glitch abuse, and jatex doesn't want these wrong reports to sort out, so that wont happen any time soon. Thats what they do with other things, and currently, im finding an example. Anyways, i find this update great, except for those pickey RCers and some Pkers Don't ask me for what I do for fun.Anyways, what I do for fun (besides RS) is to tear up assignments I get and then try to re-create them. I dont understand why people are even mentioning the extra time. This issue has nothing to do with time, it's all about extra attention you need to pay, and extra annoy. It's enough to stop a lot of people from abyss Rc. Easily fixed. Jagex could just make the tile cover the ditch, and 1 square on either side of it. If the player comes from one side, the default position to stand on will be on the other side, and vice versa. So it is impossible to actually stand on the ditch. I walked into the wilderness once not reely knowing what i was doing. but that was almost 3 years ago when I first made my account. I dident loose anything I couldent replace with alittle work and perserverance. but now it seems jagex has taken a role to babysit new players. I don't want to play with people who can't figure out the tenth time that this is the wilderness. and I don't want to play with children who need babysat either. If the Ditch was made to combat Green Dragon Auters or something I may be abit more inclined to understand. but reely cant pkers deal with them? and if it was made to stop auters tell me why every time I go pass the southren falladore gate I see about a dozen bots. It seems to me that every year there is less and less resons for us older players to keep playing this game, I fear it has taken a serios turn now for the worse. in my oppinion this ditch is a clear indecation that jagex has taken the side of its newer users without much consideration for the older ones. Was the annoying pop up screen about "Danger you are about to enter the wilderness" not fair warning before we went in? do we now have to cross a ditch?
