Prayer Power Training in Mort Myre Swamp?

Featured Replies

How come u never hear about people fighting ghasts for prayer xp? They give 80xp (which is better than most bones) and no clickin involved to bury bones. U can load up your druid pouch at Nature grotto and fight them til the cows come home. Also u can get the occasional blue snelm that people need for clue scrolls. (sold one for 15k one time)

Just thought I would ask the viewers since Ive been doin alot of temple trekkin lately.

Barrows Drops: Guthan's platelegs and War Spear, Dharok's plate body and Great Axe, Verac's Flail, Verac's Helm x 2, Ahrim's top, Dharok's plate legs

Dragon Drops: Medium Helm x 4, Shield Left Half, plate legs x 2, skirt x 2.

Burying bones is WAY faster, less of a hassle. And bones + gilded altar is FAST exp compared to ghast fighting. Sure, on the side it's a nice "by-product" from Temple Trekking, but not really an alternative for gilded altar or even ectofuntus.

Ghasts give 80 prayer exp? I thought they give 30 prayer exp per kill. Anyway, killing mass amounts of ghasts can get really boring IMO

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Mmm, I'm sure its 30 myself.

I did do a bit of ghast killing to train prayer but I didnt like it that much because:

*They don't drop anything truly worth while.

*You have to collect bits for the druids pouch.

*When compared to other options they are not very good at all. e.g. Green dragon slaying, prayer exp, green dhides and good drops.

They are good if you have a low prayer or combat level, but for those a higher 30exp for a fair bit of hassle seems pointless.

ghasts are really good exp actually, unless you can kill green dragons efficently... at least you dont need to wasting time restocking at bank, compete with autoers and dodging pkers

I agree the ghasts drops are doo doo. But they are quite easy to kill for easy prayer and combat xp. You don't have to fight over them like blue dragons and dont have to waste food and arrows.

I like green dragons. too bad pkers are a bother. cant wait til I get my mage up to 85 (3 more lvls)

I will try to hang out at the Nature grotto and give u all some numbers. Otherwise its shade burning til I get back to my dragon bones. I hate doin dragons when they arent my slayer task.

Ghasts probably could be good xp for lower levels, but not past about 40 or so.
