I've heard that Torag's has the best defence in the game

There's a thread about P2p maximums where they list the maximum bonus you can acquire from certain equipment, though they list down 3rd age. You might be interested to check it out anyway.

Use the maxium guide but just sub in the next best item other then 3d age.
