LeonardMart
add some clouds (air brush) and some mountains (straight line tool) are you crazy?! clouds with air brush and mountains with straight lines!? if realism and detail are nothing for you maybe... and hell, you didnt mention light sources, you forgot to mention that colors with high saturation hurt people's eyes, and you didnt put effort into that guide, not even with the sample picture almost nothing about shading, nothing about anatomy, Anti alias, and more and this is a "guide to pixelling", not a "guide to MS paint" Click my main sig to see my fakes :D Proud to be Mexican, yay! Sir_Erderik
Ya, this is a guide to basic pixeling. You didn't mention anatomy, lightsource, shading techniques, saving types(Never use Jpeg for Pixels!). Theres a lot you could work on, try practicing a bit more before making another guide. Veni Vidi ViciI came, I saw, I conquered.Hail to the wiki! For all your information needs. shivers21
i did put a little on light, and il put saving in there too. its a begginer guide.. anyone wanting to actluly use it, is a BEGGINNER and if they want a more experenced guide, they'll find one  this is for begginners, who are just starting. {DeviantART}{Last.Fm}{Join Sublime GFX, great community for artists!}Back to RuneScape, Again.Avatar by Brian The Great
shivers21
yes, i know i need more detail, but still, this is a guide for BEGGINNERS, and don't need to know all the complex yaabajaaba just the basics, and if a starting pixeler wantes to read my guide, and learns something, then wants to know more, they will go to a more advanced guide  . {DeviantART}{Last.Fm}{Join Sublime GFX, great community for artists!}Back to RuneScape, Again.Avatar by Brian The Great
megadedhed
technically, thats not pixeling, pixeling is a technique of placing each pixel by hand, using airbursh, circle and fill tools make it not a pixel Sigs made by Runemetsa, Nuzza, Dark_Shadow, Kuroi and Me.liquid blobs attacking eachother American Anime... YAY!
shivers21
oh.... how 'bout half-pixeling? lmao  yes, and i do do that, although i used paint-dumper (fill colour) in the guide, its just alot faster. {DeviantART}{Last.Fm}{Join Sublime GFX, great community for artists!}Back to RuneScape, Again.Avatar by Brian The Great
terley
the problem with this is, a begginers guide should not be made by a beginner.. if someone actually used this to start pixeling, they'd be starting with wrong information. You mentioned about dithering because it makes shading look better, which is totally untrue, dithering is ment to ease the transition between two shades, different techniques creates various textures. its not a magical essence that needs to be added everywhere, otherwise it won't look good.. Dithering should only be added where absolutely necissery. your palette choices are far too saturated and clash horribly, if you are a beginner the first things you must know is; colouring, how to select certain colours, talking about different saturations and explaining the how, whys and whens. Shading, just some basic shading, how various shapes act to light. How to clean up your linework, not just, the do's and don't.. explain how to do it. I understand that everyone who starts pixeling wants to just open paint up and doodle like mad but, the essential things you need to learn gets you on the right tracks to eventually be able to create more complicated things. The human structure is definately not beginners topic.. more advanced tutorials would concentrate on anatomy, perspectives, trade techniques, layouts and various styles. Its good you want to help people, but I think you'd be better off really trying to improve yourself before telling people the do's and dont's when you most likely don't know. jepa69
im soory but this is realy horrible please dont try to misguide geginners by giving athem a guide that will make theyr pixels that look like [cabbage] get better at pixeling yourself and try again At the moment i can't really see the full form of the muffin.
