Does Delright need to be melee'd to be killed?

Well ya you have to hit him with silver light, but i dont think you gain any xp if thats wat your wondering. Its kinda like you hit him once then say a spell and he dies.

Ok, because I haven't done this quest with my main for almost a year, so I don't remember too much.

Anyone know for sure if you don't get melee xp?

basicly, you fight him and silverlight weakens him so i think a lvl 3 can kill him( i did it at lvl 14), and im pretty sure you dont get any melee xp from killing him. idk about the quest rewards tho.

The quest rewards aren't melee xp, and im level 19 right now, pure mage.

well...that might be a problem. but i think you can just mage him and then when hes dead say the magic words(on the bottom. if you cant, then either get a few melee lvls, or just get lobbies and keep trying.

The last hit on him needs to be with silverlight though.

If your combat level is already Magic-dominant, getting 2 or 3 Strength or Atack levels won't affect your combat level, but HP and Defense will.

 

So, don't be afraid to kill it with Silverlight.

you can mage him down to low hp and then finish with melee.

Is it possible to get silverlight back?

Every HP damage you do to Delrith gets you 2 XP instead of 4, and he has 7 HP, so you will gain 14 melee XP by killing him with melee. I meleed him with my level 3 skiller and killed him fairly easily, you'll have no trouble.

delrith doesnt give damage xp, and you can use it as a finishing hit or throughout the battle. its needed to weaken delrith so you need to use it

yes, just talk to that guy who gave it in palace and you can buy it for 500gp
