Permissie
As you might or might not know, today's update brought us the Achievement Diary in the area of Karamja. This is a guide for the easy level tasks :) The start: Talk to either Jacky the Fruit at the Brimhaven Agility Arena entrance. Ask her "about something else" and then ask about your Achievement Diary. Read the explanation she gives, it is useful :) Go to your quest panel and press the green button there: Klick on "Karamja" and a list of tasks will show up. They are divided into 3 categories, easy, medium and hard. Easy has the following tasks: - Pick 5 bananas from the plantation located east of the volcano (no skills required) - Use the ropeswing to travel to the small island north-west of Karamja, where the Moss Giants are. (requires Agility level 10) - Mine some gold from the rocks on the north-west peninsula of Karamja (requires mining level 40 and a pickaxe) - Travel to Port Sarim via the dock, east of Musa Point. (requires 60 coins, 30 for the trip to Port Sarim and 30 for the way back) - Travel to Ardougne via the port near Brimhaven (requires 60 coins, 30 for the trip to Port Sarim and 30 for the way back) - Explore Cairn Island to the west of Karamja. (cannot find a requirement for this, you can fail though, so take some food) - Use the fishing spot north of the banana plantation. (requires either a lobster cage, harpoon, small fishing net or a fishing rod and bait, dependant on fishing level) - Collect 5 seaweed from anywhere on Karamja (no requirements) - Attempt the TzHaar Fight Pits or Fight Cave (no requirements) - Kill a Jogre in the Pothole dungeon (some basic fighting skills, some food if your combat level is low and a weapon and armor) All the requirements: - Agility level 10 - Mining level 40 - Basic fighting skills Items: - 120 gp - pickaxe - Either a fishing rod with bait, a small fishing net, lobster cage or harpoon - Some food just to be sure (skip this if you are a high level) - weapon and armor The places where you will have to go: What to do? - Pick 5 bananas from the plantation located east of the volcano (no skills required) Go to the banana plantation on East-Karamja, the f2p part, east of the volcano. Pick 5 bananas. Done, easy eh? - Use the ropeswing to travel to the small island north-west of Karamja, where the Moss Giants are. (requires Agility level 10) Go to West Karamja, or directly west from the fruit tree patch in Brimhaven. Click on the rope to swing to the other side. There is another ropeswing back ;) - Mine some gold from the rocks on the north-west peninsula of Karamja (requires mining level 40 and a pickaxe) Mine a gold ore from the rock circle on the peninsula in north-west Karamja. Watch out for the Poison Scorpions if your combat level is 40 or lower. - Travel to Port Sarim via the dock, east of Musa Point. (requires 60 coins, 30 for the trip to Port Sarim and 30 for the way back) Talk to the Customs Officer and ask to go to Port Sarim, pay her 30 coins. You end up in Port Sarim, exit the boat and talk to one of the three men there to be taken back (again, pay 30 coins) - Travel to Ardougne via the port near Brimhaven (requires 60 coins, 30 for the trip to Ardougne and 30 for the way back) Talk to the Customs Officer and ask to go to Ardougne, pay her 30 coins. You end up in Ardougne, pay the captain there 30 coins to travel back. - Explore Cairn Island to the west of Karamja. (cannot find a requirement for this, you can fail though, so take some food) Search for an island in the south-western part of Karamja, east of Shilo Village. Climb the rocks and cross the bridge. You might fail a few times, making you take damage. - Use the fishing spot north of the banana plantation. (requires either a lobster cage, harpoon, small fishing net or a fishing rod and bait, dependant on fishing level) Fish in one of the fishing spots here, dependant on what you took to fish with. - Collect 5 seaweed from anywhere on Karamja (no requirements) Find a respawn place from seaweed like the one in the image, and take five. Easy eh? ;) You can also take one, drop it, and take it again, repeat five times, and bingo! :) - Attempt the TzHaar Fight Pits or Fight Cave (no requirements) Enter this cave entrance in the TzHaar place. You can let yourself die then, you won't lose anything ;) - Kill a Jogre in the Pothole dungeon (some basic fighting skills, some food if your combat level is low and a weapon and armor) Find this place on the map, search the rocks, en go down. You now have to kill a level 53 Jogre. As soon as you have done all this, go back to Jacky the Fruit and claim your reward. You get Karamja gloves 1 and an antique lamp, worth 1000 xp in a skill of your choice. Stats of the Karamja gloves 1: attack: - stab: +1 - slash: +1 - crush: +1 - magic: +1 - range: +1 defence: - stab: +1 - slash: +1 - crush: +1 - magic: +1 - range: +1 Other bonuses: - strength: +1 - prayer: 0 Guide made by Permissie (Precisie). If you want to include this in your guide, I made a picture of were everything is: Credits for the full picture go to Jagex. Credits go for me to making it into this picture. Captainkidd
I wonder how high the gloves go and what the stats are for the highest, new barrows gloves pl0x?
Atroxide
I am not positive but i think you just went in order of how they say it (sorry if you didn't) If you did do that, i suggest re-ordering it so then you dont have to go to 1 side of island then to other, etc. so pretty much make it in the fastest way possible (start at 1 side and go to other)
Kaphias
On the seaweed, just pick it up and drop it, then repeat. 8,325th to 99 Firemaking 3/9/08 | 44,811th to 99 Cooking 7/16/084,968th to 99 Farming 10/9/09 | Runescaper August 2005-March 2010Tip.it Mod Feb. 2008-Sep. 2008 | Tip.it Crew Sep. 2008-Nov. 2009
aoe325
5/10 This is a good guide but rather useless since all of these tasks are really obvious. A good guide would tell us what to bring/wear and in what order to do each task to allow us to do them in no time. Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07. Permissie
I wonder how high the gloves go and what the stats are for the highest, new barrows gloves pl0x? The gloves go to Karamja gloves 3 (1 for easy, 2 for medium, 3 for hard) I guess the stats will be +2 for everything and +3 for everything, but I can be wrong... If you want to include this in your guide, I made a picture of were everything is: I added the map to the guide, and gave credits to you ;) thanks for your help :) Maybe you could add about the gloves other features and also work on the meduim and hard tasks maybe? I can't do some of them yet, so it would become a highly incomplete guide ;) On the seaweed, just pick it up and drop it, then repeat. Added this to the guide and gave credits to you. Thank you :)
rixxon
On the seaweed, just pick it up and drop it, then repeat. Added this to the guide and gave credits to you. Thank you :) Since this is most likely a bug this will probably fixed soon by Jagex so I don't think it's worth mentioning...

Ermy
I think the gloves have proved popular Those with a little bit of knowledge are more dangerous than those with none.
