May 30, 200719 yr I made a video for a friend who could not see all of the displays at the museum. Thought I would post it here, for everyone who can't, don't want to complete the museum. Lock it if you need mods, just wanted to put it somewhere it could be seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc4TkAr_ZmE - Twitter | RuneScape FB Group | My PC

May 30, 200719 yr Lock it if you need mods, just wanted to put it somewhere it could be seen. Does anyone else see a problem with the need to place such disclaimers on every post?
May 30, 200719 yr Author Lock it if you need mods, just wanted to put it somewhere it could be seen. Does anyone else see a problem with the need to place such disclaimers on every post? First time I have posted one so... :-s I was not sure if it should be posted here... :? So what's the problem? Looking at your recent posts......... Seems you have a problem with people posting disclaimers, If you have see things on this forum I have seen you would to.. I posted the "disclaimer" so that if a mod felt this was not meant to be posted here he could lock it without feeling to harsh, because they have feelings to. Posting videos isn't something I do a lot of, hope my reason for posting those few lines is satisfactory for you Looking through post and complaining about them is a great way to earn respect and make friends. - Twitter | RuneScape FB Group | My PC
May 30, 200719 yr So what's the problem? People should not have to be paranoid and apologetic for every post they make. This forum has a serious problem with "lock-happy" moderators. In over 15 years of online gaming and participation in many forums (including moderation, design and administration) I have never seen a situation like this, and trust me, I have seen it all (or I thought I had). In a well organised forum all moderation actions are logged and subject to administrative review. I suspect this is not the case here. I just feel bad for people that they are constantly looking over their shoulder here. It is good to have sensible rules and organisation, but when carried to the extreme it stifles free and productive communication and it is a bad thing. In my short time here I have witnessed many threads locked unjustly, usually due to poor reading comprehension on the part of moderators. Don't get me wrong, I'm not dumping on the moderators here, all volunteer efforts are appreciated, I just think they need a better framework of guidelines and policy to work under. Even a person with the best of reading comprehension misinterprets something on occasion, thus the need for review of all moderation actions. Show me another online gaming forum with threads locked as frequently as they are here (often in error), I think you will be hard-pressed to find one.
May 30, 200719 yr Author So what's the problem? People should not have to be paranoid and apologetic for every post they make. I agree that mods on tip.it sometimes operate outside the rules, bending them for friends, but it is dealt with. But I didn't apologize in my post or act paranoid, It was 2:45am where I am when I made this post, I always post in General P2P and was not sure if posting this video was allowed. So really to jump on my post and say what you did wasn't justified, I simply said lock if needed as I was off to bed. Please keep this on topic, and maybe make a post about this if you feel so strongly about it I will be sure to post if you did. I ask you to look through my post history and find another time I posted a disclaimer, because you will not find one. - Twitter | RuneScape FB Group | My PC
