eckered Posted June 1, 2007 Share Posted June 1, 2007 hey, im eckered. im 13 years old (oct 21), and im a 'runescape veteran'. although i dont play anymore, i come back to boards like this sometimes just because i enjoy the community =). i encourage critique, and helping others in general, and although i proabbly wont be active here for long, i hope you guys will enjoy my company. also, some of you may remmember me from a loong while ago, but most of you probably dont. (lines by locracian) im a pixeler, on a more serious level then just for fun. i do game graphcis as a part time job (compleated 2, working on a third). i have made games for pc and for nintendo ds. i also do things like drawing comics, inking, sketching and painting (irl), digi-painting, gfx, and most other forms of art in general. i also enjoy things such as riding my skateboard, biking (bmx), playing my bass guitar, and playing sports (soccer, football, and lacross). wop wop Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The left is the edited and right is original showing where the other lightsources are implied. That's not everything, just the head. Welcome back, and hope to see some pieces with your own linework. Sorry but i have to call ya out on this. I love whe people say "yeah i've done artwork for a game" or somesuch sillyness... If you want me to belive that A. post proof of work - like maybe your name on the credits with proof that you are that person... B. post a better work of art than you posted above... It's good but i've seen just as good from random people who just pixel for fun C. Then there is the always fun question of (after all of the above) did you get paid for the job you did :D - I love it when people are all like "zomg i work for a gaming company" And im like, you get paid and is it your friends company?? Then they normally shut up and go away.. :roll: I'm not saying that you CAN'T do stuff like you described heck you might have... I'm just curious as to why you post an image that 50% of the people here could do, then claim to have worked on games... After all that yah i remember you from awhile back... Good to have you back... eckered Posted June 2, 2007 Author Share Posted June 2, 2007 alright then. some work. this ones for my current project. space ship turn left. pogo joe idle. old project, this one WAS just with some frends, kinda got abandoned though. same project last one ill post of that project, owl enimie blinking. when he sees you, he flies at you. the first one i did i am udner contract not to let the art leak out. and yes, the first one i did, and the one i cant show you are paid projects. :roll: also, the only 'company' i really work for is a personal one called mcd (mad cow designs), and we basicly are just a company that people hire to do game art. not the whole group of cource, but its kinda like a rental, where you rent an artist to do something, and pay em for what they do. wop wop Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I hate to sound self praising, but as an example, people on this board, like me and Ter (Ter being the prime example), who have been pixelling for aeons find ourselves improving and becoming more ambitious. We haven't fallen out, we've no-one to disappoint or to ridicule us for making boastful claims that we don't live up to. Yeah. Here's my first ever pixel sig as an example. I made this over 18 months ago. Seems longer. Even though it isn't as bad as most firsts, it shows me how I've improved in so many aspects of pixel art. ;@ Back then I thought it was shaded. :? Yeah, so the point is, chill out, have fun and just practice, learn, don't let anyone expect anything from you. I quit pixeling because i couldn't derive any enjoyment from it...
