I'm 43 right now and I'm gonna be a member soon. I wanna know what a good prayer level is that won't affect my combat too much. I thought about getting 52 Prayer, but that seems low... Maybe 60 or so? I have maybe 1000-1500k to spend on dragon bones and to bury them at a gilded altar for 252 xp each. 60 ok? higher? lower?

60 is fine, especially at your combat. Prayer doesn't affect your combat too much if I'm right. Ultimately, 52 is good as it unlocks all the prayers, but having 60 just means you can keep the prayer on longer and can be beneficial in combat.

Smite is good for wilderness PKing. Knock out their prayer so they can't use protect items ;)

i know what everything does and what level you get everything... just wanna know what a nice prayer lvl is... 60 sounds good so far...

No 52 is as high as you want it. You don't keep your prayer lvl going because of how many points you have, you use prayer potions.

 

 

 

At lvl 52 a prayer potion heals 17 prayer points, at lvl 60 it heals 19 prayer points. The extra money spent and the extra cb lvls is not worth it. Just stick with 52.

Each prayer level increases your overall combat level by 1/8

You're all wrong. If you want to be a fighter of some sort, don't raise prayer. At all. Until you've done all the quests that give you prayer. Ancient Magiks are great, but you get prayer in one of the quests. So do the quests first, then go back and raise prayer.

OK ive made a decision... ill get it to 52 then as i go along questing ill raise it from quest xp then ill raise the rest of the way to 60.

im pretty sure the most prayer exp from a quest is 1k from priest in peril and somethin like 10 or 15k from the holy grail.

If you're going to be a good staker, chosse between 43, 52, and 99. If you want to be a good main, stick to 60 or 70. Also remember that you need 75 con (70 with tea and a quest) or access to a friends house for a guilded altar.

Many people have gilded altars open for free on the RS forums...
