just brushing.. oh and you can change the color of bg, but it must be a One-color bg.

About 7 minutes in PS 5... no smudge tool, all brush.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I used PSP7 (Texture airbrush on several layers)

No other effects were wanted so brushing is what happens....

that already looks brushed. Why not try something that is just a line drawing and that is more...er...interesting?

I thought the idea was to make a whole piece based on the render? (A very primitive and boring render at that).

Just so you know, you are allowed to brush the background, not only the torus knot.

People are just putting overlays on top the original render... What does that have to do with brushing? Maybe you should refine what you want. I was under the impression you wanted to see who could best re-create the render from scratch, by airbrushing it.

Yeah i thought that was as well, I thought the point was to recreate through brushing... Not making an abstract and putting it on overlay.

Well I wouldn't say that smudging around some highlights is particullarly brushing, either.

I wasn't under the impression that he wanted us to actually recreate the peice. Ah well, I'll try again tomorrow.
